I had a 70 challenger RT,hemi orange built 383 magnum, black interior/top with optional overhead counsil,I must say that I would prefer this car over the new challengers anyday,WHY you ask??,because the older ones were balls to the wall with no "govenor" to saddle you,plus, it just felt "right".

Actually, referring to the smartass about the "punks" cam, A lopey, chopped Idle cam will give you more top end power, but a smoother cam will give you the low end torque. How do I know? Because I had to get a new cam for my 383 stroker Chevy c10, and I want torque for my truck, so I lost the badass, lopey, "punk" sounding idle, for some low end torque. And just for the record, I gained a little bit more than 5 Horsies with this cam. Jus' Sayin.

you prob wouldnt think and aussie been for a spin i one these. but yeah my mate was a mopar nut, imported a 383 SE challanger  that engine spun a cam bearing so he purchased a 440 stroker kieth black 512ci with fisher 8.71 blower . shit yes made over 800hp on pump gas with the big blower pully. lol. we stuck a full floating 9inch romac hubs and axles under the rear.4 wheel dic brakes . most people in australia though it was a camaro, this is before internet around 1995

@ukchris64 really big cam, and theres also the fact that manufacturers usually set the idle significantly higher than it needs to be. put a big cam on your car, take out the exhaust, and set the idle as low as possible, and itll sound more like this.
