  • One of the finest voices in popular music.

  • Power rings: In the video, some examples at 0:50, 2:32, 2:40, 2:55.

    The other eye: 0:46, 0:49 Cut-in: 1:06-1:25

  • Thanks, Dad.

  • Please,i need Nana's wonderful music series....

  • This is all my parents era of music, so not overly familiar with it, but I love it all now.

If I'm honest, I'm really glad it stayed away from being or seeming close to religious type of music of that time, but it isn't thankfully and because of that, I like it more.

  • Je zingt echt grweldig echt super gord

  • is the original singer her or agnes chan?

  • @whatsgoingonyall

I reckon Peter Yarrow from "Peter Paul and Mary" wrote it.

  • I have a "various artists" LP with this song on it. But this live version sounds much better than the studio version.

  • Splendid !

  • this work of art needs more views

  • This is actually my favourite song, forget that goth stuff ;)

  • lovely x x x

  • I will say it again....She's an angel!!!!

  • The golden voice of a angel made more beautiful by distance.I'm never weary when I hear good music.Take care ADonovan43

  • She really has very beautiful voice.

  • Thanks to you tube we get the chance to see these clips - I have loved Nana for all my life but this sort of recording is her at the best that we all keep in our hearts

  • A moving song for father's day.

Tell me why you're smiling my son

Is there a secret you can tell everyone?

Do you know more than men that are wise?

Can you see what we all must disguise

    through your loving eyes?

  • I like Nana performing this song so much.

    Surely a very passionate performance.

Her youthful voice suits this song a lot.

Her hair so stylish and beautiful.

And her myopic eyes seeing through her thick lenses,

    whenever she looks sideway,

the reflection in her lenses is telling you she is so

    much dependent on the lenses.

maybe she wants to see you closer, as she has myopic

    eyes.

  • 2:33-2:40 her eyes behind the thick lens is so attractive.

  • Her strong minus glasses as seen in 0:50 makes her look characteristic. Note the reflection (power rings) of her lenses. Surely she's not wearing glasses for fun.

  • wow... wonderful. didn't know she looks so beautiful back then.

  • Nana was seven months pregnant making that clip,.

Bless Nana and her amazing voice. I remember as a child during the1970s Nana commandeered the radio waves, and our record player at home. The album 'Passport' was an international bestseller, and her voice, to my young ears, seemed to contain something that undefinable, but magical and spiritual. Now, years later, Nana's voice transports me back to my childhood, to feelings of innocence and joy. Long may she sing in our hearts.

  • I have been listening to Nana since she first started with the White rose of Athens and even after all these years her songs are still beautiful. We were lucky enough to see and meet her, several times in Bournemouth . England

  • For 40 years I had thought nothing could compare with Peter Paul and Mary's original of Day is Done, until I came across this video. Now I'm glad to say I was wrong!

The version in French "Mon enfant" by Nana is equally beautiful.

  • @rhsy2007 Its good -shes excellent - but I must disagree . . .P.P.@ M any day for me -She seemed to sing it as a 'jolly' song whereas theres was filled with the pathos that the song required . . . .Still , very close ! Best wishes .

  • @MrBillgreaves Yes I agree her's is jolly, and yet so tender and motherly. Peter Yarrow's was fatherly pathos. Can't really compare. It's just that Nana is a new love for me.

  • @rhsy2007 It's simply the difference between a father singing the song and a mother singing the song.

  • Oh, what I would have given to have seen her person... suck a beautiful voice!!

  • Remember this from her 70's TV show...with the Athenians...Excellent !!!!!

  • Ah!She is so elegant and beautiful! Greek Goddess!

  • C'est fornidable a mon avis!!!

  • Nice Glasses! Only Nana and Jackie Onassis could get away with glasses like that. Deirdre Barlow tried and failed.

  • Lovely! Beautiful song and beautiful lady!

  • Beautiful song by a fantastic and awesome lady. She also sang this song in French as "Mon enfant". Viva Nana!

  • My wife and I listen to all of Nana's recordings almost every day, and sometimes we put on a CD at bedtime, when we just want to hear her beautiful voice as we go to sleep. We were lucky to see her perform twice in the United States.

  • Exelent!!!! precious! where can i download this concert maybe in torret pages? I would like tu buy it but it's not for sale well at least in mexico where i live.

  • wow takes me back

    my she sing forever

  • This is so lovely,Nana has such a beautiful pure voice.

  • Beautiful..!!

  • I love her voice.

  • Yes indeed a very beautiful song -- one of my favorites. I never get tired of watching and listening to her. A friend once asked "Don't you ever listen to anything else"? "Sometimes but not very often"

  • I am the same. I seldom listen to any one else . After listening to Nana, who else can compare ?

And she has the best stage presence. She puts so much feeling in her songs.

  • This is a favorite of mine. A really feel good song. Sometimes I turn on the stereo in the evening & let it play until next morning non stop. Never get tired listening to her.

  • Yhank you for sharing this beautiful video.

  • this song makes me want to take off my clothes and dance

  • What a beautiful and moving song from a very special and unique Greek lady! They don't make them like that anymore!

  • What a woman, she can melt the heart of any man with her femminity, she is an Angel on earth, wish I had saw her many years ago.

"When the day is done" la la la

  • Very touching song, very emotional, great message too.

  • Thank you for this wonderful clip. A fine addition to all those Nana clips from the '60s and '70s. Such positivity and optimism. It makes me cry.

  • thank you for posting this video of Nana singing a song i have sung along too for many years in playing her albums. It is refreshing to hear the message of helping out by taking a person's hand and hopefully leading into a change in this messy world.

  • When I was a teenager, I was listening to this music while my friends were listening to more popular music.

  • "LOL"- I was in Love with her when I was 12!

  • Loves it. I remember my Dad singing this to me as a child. Thank you

  • LOL

  • good oine LOL

  • Timeless!magnificent song from a magnificent lady!

  • I know the sung as "mon enfant".

Wonderful song. Thank you for uploading.

  • I remember singing this song at campfires at summer camp as a boy in the late 60's & early 70's. I would pray for the soldiers in VietNam every night.I realize now that my camp counselors were probably drafted soon after. An amazing, still relevant song all these years later. Thank you for posting this.

  • "can you see what we all must disguise

THROUGH your loving eyes" as Nana sings, makes more sense if it was "FROM your loving eyes" as the song meant to protect the innocence of the child.

  • No, not at all! Listen to the lyrics and the melodic punctuation more closely. The lyrics are exactly what they should be. The narrator asks if the child knows more than the wise -- if he can see through what we adults (think we) must disguise.

  • One of my all time favourite nana songs! thank you! why o why BBC do you not do a DVD of Nanas BBC shows - we are all waiting to buy!!!

  • WOW thanks for posting just wish the bbc would release nanas shows on dvd.

  • This is why You Tube exists . So we can say fuck you to the bastards at the beeb .

  • So young!!

  • Très beau vidéo, adorable. C'est la première fois que je vois un vidéo où Nana est enceinte et elle est radieuse. En plus c'est une très belle chanson. Merci beaucoup.

  • One of my favourites. Love you Nana.

  • wonderful this great song by de most great favourite singer in the world.

  • This is amazing! Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this little jewel ^^

  • You are welcome. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could once again see Nana's fantastic music series from the early 70s. I remember the Athenians performed alongside her, and some of her special guests included Lulu & Olivia Newton-John.

  • Beautiful!

  • THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. Fantastic, you've made my week....great clip of the great Nana.

  • Awesome. Thank you. Looks like this was probably from the BBC's Morecambe & Wise Show which aired 22 april, 1970, taped in March 70, as she looks pregnant with Helene, born in July, 1970. How on earth did you get ahold of this? thanks!!

  • I LOVE THIS VIDEO ! Yes, Nana was pregnant. Her voice is really sweet on this video.

  • Fantastic !!!! Thanks for posting this delightfull video clip.

  • Thank you very much!

I have no words to say my thanks!

Let me link this to my small blog of Plaisir with Nana!
