some say it's a God of War clone... well, it's not... DMC was created first so GOW would be the clone... but i think this is a Prototype clone (the weapons, which is never used in other DMC games)

@darkheart407 True. TBH i think they should've left it alone after 4, because 4 started to show signs of dying out. It did what Metal Gear Solid did. Introduced a new playable protagonist in hopes to expand the story, but it didn't feel right. Sure at first nobody liked Raiden or Nero, but Raiden showed signs of becoming awesome, i don't get that vibe from Nero.

dmc3 is the best game ever made!! dmc1 has to be the second best game ever, it's also amazing. dmc4 is very good, coming in third of the series. dmc2 sucks but no one cares since dmc1 and dmc3 and dmc4 exist. dmc3 is better than all god of war games combined, don't even argue: god of war gets boring after just one playthrough. this is my favorite series, and that ninja theory idiot ruined everything by changing the character look.If u hate that loser who messed up the next game,copypaste this
I absolutely LOVE Devil May Cry, and I am disappointed that they have changed the look. In fact I want to cry and scream. Capcom, in the past had mixed up the weries releasing them out of order and at first I was hoping that that's what was going to happen here, but that seems like it not the case sadly. I do think it will be an interesting game in itself though. Not 100% sure on that fact, but I think it looks like it could be good. All in all though I am scared on how it will be accepted.

Ok,so here's my theory.This guy in the trailer is not Dante.I believe he is some kid that was made to belive that he is Dante.You can see X-rays of his brain and body on the walls.As you can also see the kid doesn't respond to his name the first time,and the second time there is a voice answering but I totally believe it's not the kid but it is the real Dante.So somehow we are going to play this kiddo and then Dante.

Best DMC5 would be in my opinion: Nero should be told that Vergil is/was his father and Dante is Vergil's brother and Sparda's son etc. and you can play Nero and Dante. 30-40 missions, and much more real demons, not the stuff things like in DMC4. The bosses should be a lot more difficult, and of course the same gameplay with just some improvements!
I've been looking foward to Devil May Cry 5, NOT DMC. That is NOT Dante and to make a game like this is a slap in the face to any true Devil May Cry fans.

i dont know about the gameplay but, the design is really really really, weird. i dont know, maybe they should change the title from DMC (DEVIL MAY CRY) to DIC (DEVIL IS CRYING) cause if i am the devil, i sure as hell is crying at the trailer of the remake.

KK! For all the haters and the fucking losers who keep saying how gay it is, is he younger, where's the old Dante! Shut the fuck up. They have STOPPED, repeat STOPPED the old DMC storyline. They are now rebooting it into a totally different story. This is a different universe than in the old games! They wanted to start fresh so people wouldn't get bored of the old storyline. So, recap, this is a different universe, a different Dante, and a different story entirely. Please read to figure it out!

@cindy9881 I totally agree. This game looks very interesting... and it's obviously a restart, rather than, you know, a true remake or whatever. If they want, they can argue all day about which "Series" or "incarnation" is better (god, just like the Old School vs. New School debates on Final Fantasy) but it won't change the fact taht this game was made.
If it sucks, it sucks. If it's awesome, it's awesome. Deal, people.

Well I have to say I did like the old DMC games a lot but I say give this one a chance. Remember when Resident Evil 4 was coming out and we had all these whiny little cunts (coming from a hardcore RE fan here) whining and bitching about RE4 and how Resident Evil is dead and shit and Resident Evil 4 turned out to be amazing as hell and made all the other RE games look like utter fucking shit?

I got it, it never shows this kid saying "Im Dante" so the real Dante must bust into the asylum to save this punk and answers in his place like a good action hero one liner before he blows a hole through the guys head...its the only thing that makes sense. Ok,so here's my theory.This guy in the trailer is not Dante.I believe he is some kid that was made to belive that he is Dante.You can see X-rays of his brain and body on the walls.As you can also see the kid doesn't respond to his name the first time,and the second time there is a voice answering but I totally believe it's not the kid but it is the real Dante.So somehow we are going to play this kiddo and then Dante.

I think this cannot be the real Dante. Dante has white hair and blue eyes! I can't find anything that I like in this trailer.
Best DMC5 would be in my opinion: Nero should be told that Vergil is/was his father and Dante is Vergil's brother and Sparda's son etc. and you can play Nero and Dante. 30-40 missions, and much more real demons, not the stuff things like in DMC4. The bosses should be a lot more difficult, and of course the same gameplay with just some improvements!
