The RB engines are based on the CA series which were notoriously shit. Thats why Nissan replaced the CA with the SR. If the SR came in 6 cyl form, it would rape your supposed RB26... Either way, 2.6 liters aint exactly big, you know? The SR has bigger cylender bores and pistons than an RB26DETT.
I so agree with you scrfce123 I own an SR20 powered S13 and I know what its capable of, if someone offered me an RB20 or an SR20 (which in case both are 2.0 liters) ill stick with the SR (more lightweight and more aftermarket)
More torque and power from an SR20DET too. Especially the later versions (S14/15) I wouldnt even look twice at an RB20DET. I must admit that the RB26 is a great engine though. Just not as great as it could be...
