  • hi AK, YK, SI, AND FK

esp FK who loves this vid :)

  • great vid, another scottish implosion this sunday at 6am at millarston paisley

  • at 1:45 a bird flies into the smoke... i hope he lived...

  • I'd imagine so although it'd have come out the other side more dusty.

  • hey again, i was just watching this video for the 100000 time lol its so good, but is there a way i can save it to my pc, it would be nice to have a wee keepsake of that day.

  • Sweet production. Towers looked like they were made of cardboard. I guess that's my perspective compared to Trojan's implosion in Oregon in May, 2006. Four is better than one. How tall were those towers?

  • Thanks. The towers were nearly 300 feet high and weighed 6000 tonnes each.

  • Excellent video!

Funny how they fold like socks.

They should have a waterbomber fly in and dump it's load after the fourth explosion to clear the dust.

  • Thanks for commenting. Yes, I like how they folded like that.

  • My dad used to work there, and my uncle still works there. Is it true that they've been up for 50 years?

  • The power station was opened in 1959 and closed in 2004, so 45 years of operation.

  • Excellent video. I lived with the towers for 25 years and when I moved away the towers were always the sign that you were just about home. It was very sad to see them go but it was also a great way to go. Brilliant footage and the music was great!

  • Yes - i Understand you.. I lived close to shaft tower whose demolish 3 week ago..

  • What a really good video, the angles are great. I still cant believe the towers are no longer there, standing proud and domination the regions skyline, its such a sad sad loss.

The 20th May 2007, will be a day i remember for the rest of my days, i will never foget watching in silence the towers crumble away before my eyes, its such a very sad loss to the area.

  • The towers had to come down at some point. I'm kind of surprised there are so many who seem to have an emotional attachment to the towers, but then they did dominate the skyline for 45 years. Thanks for commenting.

  • brill !

  • Thanks guys.

  • Superb Video! very professionally put together and the chosen music suits the occasion to the tee!..one day, cooling towers will be history,it hink it is important that some are preserved,as with everything,so people can see what they were like for real in generations to come.

  • this is vry good.can u send me a copy of this plz.i was at cx that mornin workin on standby

  • Is the really close up angle the live webcam view?

  • Yes, that's right.
