Whenever I highlight "Sample Text" and start typing my own text, that "Sample Text" text will not disappear, and instead my own text just types over it. Is this a glitch or something? I have the Trial Verson of Sony Vegas 10, so could that be the problem? Thanks in advance.

did you try to click (once) on the text you type and then

click the down arrrow in the keybord? maybe you just didnt notice it was down there all time..

@mar1us95 ... I only started with it a few weeks ago and thought the same as you. I even thought about getting my money back because I thought I would never understand it . But aftter a few tutorials on here and a bit of practice you will wil find that there are only a few things to actualy learn .... then the rest falls in place as you use different things you learned with other things and suddenly it becomes simple .... then you wonder why you thought it was hard .

same thing. open the video in vegas then open a new video track and put the text in that track and itll play over your video. if u want it to play over the whole video, stretch it out for the whole thing =)

Okay here is how you do it . Insert another video track right ? Right click the track and it will say : Insert text media . Remember to put the text on top of the pic . Hope that helped. Ohh and just delete the music track . Right click ONLY THE TRACK. And hit delete(:
