I've seen this brotha perform many times,he was excellent.I had the pleasure of meeting him once and he was so cool! God Bless his Soul.R.I.P. DYKE!!!...
This is awesome!!! Gonna miss this brotha. I met Dyke in the early 80s and will always remember his friendship and caring spirit. Trouble Funk was blessed to have him and will never be the same without him. Rest In Peace my friend, until we meet again!!! All my prayers go out to his family that God will ease their grief knowing that he will not suffer anymore!!!
Syke Dyke was a legend in music - just go-go! I met Dyke in 2001 and he was gracious enough to do a song w/me for my albun w/out even batting an eye. The brother not only came in the vocal booth w/me, he also gave me some lasting advice about the ever-changing music industry. This is Joe-L. "Da Vessel" (the artist formerly known as Big Shank) and I want to offer just a word to the family - he was a great guy - period!
steppers marching band. he always talked about him in good light, and unfortunatly
hadn't spoken to him in a while. Sadly, he found out about dyke's death while playin around on YouTube. He was completly heartbroken at the news. He said it was like losing a brother. Syke Dyke was a truly privalage to know, and "The Fonz," ie; My Father will always think about him, everytime he picks up his trombone.
