Demon Sword is one of my Favorite games for NES. Is it true there are no life upgrades or throwing star upgrades in the Famicom version? the upgrades make Victar as powerfull as the end bosses. and there is no need to collect magic Items from the miniboses.
this is the first 3 Mega BIT game released on the famicom

you have only one life, but you can collect extra lives (items which look like human symbols)

@overtaxed79 This game actually has more powerups than the American version.

That would be correct. But your life pretty much stays the same until you go on suicide missions to look for it.
