Even though i'm an indian i would have to say that Indus valley civilisation belongs to Pakistan only. The confusion arises from the name of the two countries. Indians think that since there was no country named Pakistan before 1947 , ALL of the history of the subcontinent belongs to India. So this video would come as a shock to most of the Indians.

Indus Valley lies entirely in Pakistan, and Pakistanis have always lived on those lands as far as history has been recorded.
The Subcontinents history doesnt automatically belong to India. This is why the subcontinent is also called South Asia. You have to remember that the Indian people have nothing to do with the lands of Pakistan.
As for the religion, nobody knows what they followed because their scripts have not been deciphered. Not much is known about their culture, language or religion.
Sikhs came into the picture long after the indus valley. Besides Lahore is not the Indus.
Nobody has denied the similarities between Pakistani Punjabis and Indian Punjabis, but people get carried away and use this relation to hijack all of Pakistans history for India.

History of Pakistan is broader than India. Pakistan is a part of a great series of Muslim countries where as India is a blessing of British on hindus that they have handed over a structured system to hindus.

Later discoveries have found that uniform city pattern as that of Harrappa and Mohenjodaro spread throughout the Indian Sub continent as far as South Idian states . It dates even prior to 5000 years and its inscriptions have yet not been read. Some historians have pointed out that the seals , square as well as cylinderical, have been found in Mesopotamian , Egyptian and even Mayan civilisation sites. IVC was a dravidian civilization. Present day pakistanis are aryans mixed with semitic and turkic invaders. How can we possible know?? If you want to find out, Indus valley is the wrong place to look because it existed relatively recently, i.e 5000 years ago. Ancient Northern India (Pakistan & Sikh Punjab) was an area that saw many invasions by countless armies, from Persians, Greeks, Mongols, Turks, Afghans Arabs & Sikhs. All of these invading armies influenced the local inhabitants. Today you can see Pakistanis along with Sikhs have more Persian features then the rest of Indian population. today Indo-Aryan is a linguistic term used to describe people who speak an Indo-Aryan language like Punjabi and Sindhi. And no the ancient Sanskrit-speaking Aryans were certainly not related to the ancient turks, who were entirely mongoloid that time and close relatvies of Mongols. Pakistan is diverse yes, but at the end of the day 99% of the population speaks an Indo-Iranic language (which Indo-Aryan is part of) and belong to a common haplogroup (R1A)

The ancient Aryans came from north of the river Oxus and the region around the Caucasus mountains, which is also the birthplace of the Turks. Although, Turks (Oghuz) share an ethnic similarity with Mongols/ Chagatai Turks (which roughly 10% of Pakistanis do as well), the Oghuz (Western) Turks are ethnically related to the Aryans (including Persians and most Pakistanis). Not all Turks are the same, they are a mixture of several nations from Central Asia, of which region the Aryans came also.

Even though i'm an indian i would have to say that Indus valley civilisation belongs to Pakistan only. The confusion arises from the name of the two countries. Indians are morons. India has no historical significance other than the fact that it is a product of Nehru and British. Before that there was no India as it was always divided in mini states. In South Asia there were two civilizations, Indus and Gangetic. They were both different and had very little connection. Also the Indus civilization is far more older than the Gangetic. Indus Valley lies entirely in Pakistan, and Pakistanis have always lived on those lands as far as history has been recorded.
The Subcontinents history doesnt automatically belong to India. This is why the subcontinent is also called South Asia. You have to remember that the Indian people have nothing to do with the lands of Pakistan.
As for the religion, nobody knows what they followed because their scripts have not been deciphered. Not much is known about their culture, language or religion.

Sikhs came into the picture long after the indus valley. Besides Lahore is not the Indus.
Nobody has denied the similarities between Pakistani Punjabis and Indian Punjabis, but people get carried away and use this relation to hijack all of Pakistans history for India.
Note that Punjabi sikhs are a minority in India, and only a fraction of that minority has links with Pakistan.

Actually most of our ancient ancestors were Hindus and were either forced to convert or coverted on their own to Islam when it was brought by the Mughals and Arabs. Today we are mostly Muslims in Pakistan, but the connection to India is there.

i.e People of Pakistan are the people of the Indus.

History of Punjab is shared. Never denied that, but 1947 political situations shouldnt label the history of the entire subcontinent as Indian. Funny how you get technical about it when usually you claim it all belongs to India.
Kashmiri history belongs to Kashmiris, and Punjabi history belongs to Punjabis. This is what I have been arguing since post 1. Indians here usually want to label everything as Indian regardless.

Everyone is missing the point here, the Indus Valley built the most sophisticated infrastructure during their time. And both India and Pakistan lack this wonderful and organized design to their urban planning and especially the rural areas. Nationalism and too much pride in relgion destroys people and society. I hope in my lifetime I could visit the Indus Valley.

Ancestors leads to Pakistanis since they have always stayed on that land. Records go back 1000s of years to when cities like Lahore and Peshawar appeared. Remember, we are talking about history which happened in Pakistan. Its very ignorant of neighbouring countries to try to claim it.

However, it was operating in Bengal until invasion of Turks at 1200 which destroyed it. Invasion causes destruction, it has always been, its very stupid to relate it with religion. History of Pakistan is broader than India. Pakistan is a part of a great series of Muslim countries where as India is a blessing of British on hindus that they have handed over a structured system to hindus.

There is a reason they call it the Harappan civilisation or the Indus Civilisation.
1. The cities have to be similar to Harappa to prove the same people built them.
2. The cities were around the Indus river only, i.e in Pakistan.
Indus Valley is the region called Pakistan.
They havent to this day been able to find anything like Harappa or Mohenjo Daro in India, so Indus Valley cities do no exist in India.

Later discoveries have found that uniform city pattern as that of Harrappa and Mohenjodaro spread throughout the Indian Sub continent as far as South Idian states . It dates even prior to 5000 years and its inscriptions have yet not been read. Some historians have pointed out that the seals , square as well as cylinderical, have been found in Mesopotamian , Egyptian and even Mayan civilisation sites. Anyways the ancient world was more thriving than we would like to imagine !
