I was 360 owner until it was 18 months old the shitty hitachi drive decided to chew £60 worth game disks complained to microsoft all I got was automated letter to pretty much not there problem and go and fuck myself

I have a 360 and PS3 and BOTH have broken. The 360 gave me the RROD but I had a launch console. The PS3 is far worse, the PSU blew up on it for no reason at all and I couldn't save my data and lost all game saves and info on my PS3 and it was only 2 months old - the 360 didn't throw the RROD until almost 8 months after I bought it. They have the same games basically except the 360 has better exclusives. The free online on the PS3 sucks because no one has a mic! Xbox Live is much better.

I just had my 360 die on me for the fourth time. "Support" couldn't even read the script. They told me to unplug it and see if that helped. They couldn't help me other than to say "how sad that this thing had happened. I myself love Xbox so much". So now I have a 360 with a drive that won't spin disks and a corrupted hard drive that ate all my saved games, but they, at least it isn't the RRoD again. So now I can spend $100 on a repair that won't last or throw away RB and 3 dozen other games.

No, you're getting ripped off if you go with the xbox 360. Think about it for a moment. The xbox 360 is more likely to fail then a ps3, you have to buy a shitload of accessories, and every year you have to renew your membership. In the end, the xbox 360 is way more expensive then the ps3. quality for price payed - updates and no online fee mean quality for price is excellent, considering it will never cost you any more than it already has. Plus, its the most reliable machine on the market, the least likely to break on you.

I have a 360 and PS3 and BOTH have broken. The 360 gave me the RROD but I had a launch console. The PS3 is far worse, the PSU blew up on it for no reason at all and I couldn't save my data and lost all game saves and info on my PS3 and it was only 2 months old - the 360 didn't throw the RROD until almost 8 months after I bought it. They have the same games basically except the 360 has better exclusives. The free online on the PS3 sucks because no one has a mic! Xbox Live is much better.

dude your full of shit. my 360 has died 3 times since i've owned it. i play it very occasionally as i actually have a life. now its just chewed up one of my game discs so thats yet another £40 down the drain. sony are japanese (well made, quality electronics) xbox is american (cheaply made crap electronics). support line is shit they ask you to do a load of stuff that you will have already tried, and then just tell you 'yeah its fucked, you've gotta send it to us and pay £60'.

I just had my 360 die on me for the fourth time. "Support" couldn't even read the script. They told me to unplug it and see if that helped. They couldn't help me other than to say "how sad that this thing had happened. I myself love Xbox so much". So now I have a 360 with a drive that won't spin disks and a corrupted hard drive that ate all my saved games, but they, at least it isn't the RRoD again. So now I can spend $100 on a repair that won't last or throw away RB and 3 dozen other games.

But when i eventually got the ps3 i was blown away, the ps3 fucking owns the Xbox 360, the only reason why more people have the Xbox 360 is because they cant afford the awesome ps3!!! No, you're getting ripped off if you go with the xbox 360. Think about it for a moment. The xbox 360 is more likely to fail then a ps3, you have to buy a shitload of accessories, and every year you have to renew your membership. In the end, the xbox 360 is way more expensive then the ps3. The only reason why everyone likes the 360 is because the huge library of games it has and thats only because microsoft had a huge headstart on its competition. Xbox 360=shit

community - the magic block button. Most of the people on my friends list are brilliant.
more and better games for 360 - most of them are now on the ps3, with some tasty exclusives.
no gamerscore - the whole trophy system is up now, which, in my opinion, works quite well. I enjoy going for trophies.
online play - its all up to your connection, I've had plenty of great online games that run seamlessly.

quality for price payed - updates and no online fee mean quality for price is excellent, considering it will never cost you any more than it already has. Plus, its the most reliable machine on the market, the least likely to break on you.
dashboard like the psp - of course it is, its sony. if it was like the 360, you'd say it was a rip-off. thats just a silly statement.
Ive had my ps3 from day one, and i dont regret it one bit. best machine ive ever had. top notch, hours and hours of fun!
