We used their car as a model for our camaro. Many of their concepts we use, although we have gone much faster. Turbo cars are not that loud compaired to other blown applications.

Even though there's not much leg room in the back seat area of this "passenger car", this firebird was designed by GM to hold 4 total plus groceries in the trunk. I would know because I've owned them(camaro same thing) for 20 years. My mom has used mine(before I modded the hell out of it) to go grocery shopping with my younger brothers in it.

does anyone know the body kit on that car or is it completley custom. i know the hood isnt stalk i have a 89 firebird formula and would like a more gta lookin body kit.

correct, hood is aftermarket but from what i see, that is a stock trans am body kit. if you want that body kit, you will want to look for what is called the "trans am GTA". GTA was from 1987 to i think 1990 or 1992. 1990 they had a slight design change on the front enf for the firebird and formula, not sure if T/A changed, but the whole car was redesigned in 1993 to the more rounded style. the GTA's stock hood has 4 louvers on it, 2 over top of the front wheels and 2 toward the front of the hood

the kugel komponents car did 308 and the avg was 301,driver said the car had more left in it but the saltflats were wet fromrecent rains ;car was very stable at 308 and had the stock wraparound spoiler from an 89 ta which was the best spoiler at these speeds.i repeat NO ONE except the kugel family has broke 300 in a production bodied car,no one.

The car in this video did the feat over 20 years ago. It is not a modern video and I have not doubt about another car doing 301. The car was built in the mid 80's and was featured in some of the magazines. I guess I'm old because I was in high school at the time and remember reading the articles.

The fastest, most expensive production car on earth can only do a little over 250MPH. 210 (if you really did it, which I doubt) is fast but 300 is close to unheard of. Few have achieved it.

Umm... that was a 5 mile run. Most engines can't go that long of a distance at such a constant speed. That and the areo has to be perfect. Bonneville is pretty tough, and dangerous

it's incredible what a stock Thirdgen. F-body can do! Especially the firebird with it's front fascia of slick aerodynamic design. Even the rear spoiler looks almost stock but you can tell it's been shortened and raised..(for rear downforce purposes) I'm proud to own my 1989 GTA trans am!

Banks builds crate TT small blocks and big blocks upwards 2000HP if you can pay for it. You can buy turnkey 600-1400hp motors from his site. Wonder what its geared at (tran/rear). 100+ in first gear lol.
