  • Is the viper a very good remote start to have

  • The remote start functions wont work with manual cars right?

  • Alarm remote starts in NJ "system addicts" have a wide variety of alarms and remote starts like Viper, clifford & Astrostart just to name a few.

  • it cuts off in 30 seconds and then goes off again a few seconds later....it will continue to sound until it is unarmed with the remote.

  • @MBPC21 You mean "disarmed" not "unarmed," I think. I'd have to say these things should be banned. Who calls the cops when they hear one? I always assume it's another false alarm - which is about 99% of the time.

  • So, what if someone is attempting to to get in your car, the alarm cuts off in "30 seconds" and they get inside, what then?

  • you started it in a closed garage??? That could've killed you

  • What horn are you referring to?

  • hey whats the name of your HORN like the sound of it its loud can u please tell me if u have the info on that......thanks... ;)

  • @papitosax81 its just the viper siren, how loud it it depends on where you mount it and how, you want it near the ground pointed down to echo off the ground

  • its a horn chirp

  • whats the loud sound when disarming

  • Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have this very same viper alarm remote and all. I went on vacation and when i came home and started me truck it was dead. I jumped it and it works fine but now my remote is giving me attitude and talking back and wont mind. It only chirps but does noting. I have put in a new battery just incase but that was not it. have any ideas

  • Something similar happened to my girlfriends car. After it died and was jumped the remote start didn't work. Is your blue led light blink when you lock it up or does it stay a solid blue? Anyway, if thats the case your system is in vallet mode and if you know what your doing you can search google on how to pull it out of this mode, or bring it to a place that installs vipers, they might even take it out of vallet mode for free as it takes 3 minutes,

  • @MBPC21 hi, no i have no blue light blinking or blue light staying on. Its like its dead. The alarm sends out the message but there is no response from the car. I was readying on the valet thought i would give that a try. But I think its strange

  • @MBPC21 i ment the remote sends out the message but no response in any way from the vehical. I have just been hand locking it.

  • yes your car will not respond to your viper remote at all if the system is in vallet mode...does your car lock with the factory fob?

  • @MBPC21 sorry what is a fob? Your talking to a girl here lol.....ive heard of a sob :x

  • lol ohh sorry I was trying to sound technical FOB is simply the remote...lol the thing with the Lock/Unlock Buttons...lol

  • I changed the battery and mine wont work now. I dont have the orginal key fob for the car which sux. What did you do here?

  • what if i have a stick shift car and a wanna start my car with tha remote and my car is in first gear..???????????

  • There are brands of remote starts that are made for cars with manual transmissions. It won't allow the car to start unless it is in the neutral position

  • I have about two viper alarms and can get more if anybody wants to buy one. Asking $80 for each alarm, don't know how to install

  • sick! nice car too! how much does this cost and how long does it take to install?

  • Thats really nice, i just got done installing THE VIPER 7900 Self install

  • Nice vid! What does this system cost?

    Thanks a lot!

  • theres different kinds of them. they r around $50-150.

  • @DmcBelgium they go from 100ish to 800

  • Thanks a lot! Have a friend that brought it to belgium from canada.. :)

Did you need a bitwriter to program?

Thanks a lot man ! Great car!

  • hwy can this thing be installed on any car i've a honda jazz?

  • Should work with any car...i don't see why not

  • awsome. im gonna get one for my t-bird. Just gotta quick question. Do you need to have the key in the ignition to disable the wheel lock? OR can you have it disabled?

  • Terrible right? and I dropped it off early in the afternoon the day before... They couldn't get the car to start lol

  • ROFL!!!! a day and a half??...i get those done 2 hrs max..

  • I had it installed at best buy actually...it took them a day and a half haha

  • where did u go to install it?

  • does anyone actually know much about the viper 5900 and especially the remote start? i've been told by everyone that remote start will over crank therfore wear everything out a lot faster etc, but theoretically remote start should do the exact opposite as it cuts off immediately after ignition has been made......

can anyone shed some light on this..?

  • you can set the crank time on the alarm so it does not over do it......voltage check is also an option.... best by far is making sure that it is checking your tach system so it prevents over cranking.......many options just need to program it right.

  • Here's the problem, too many people have alarms that sound close to it. Every time a alarm goes off, you'd have to run outside to see if it's yours. Unless you can customize how it chirps. Nice car, looks faster than my Hyundai.

  • true it does sound like the standard alarm...but the receiever of the alarm system vibrates and makes noise when the alarm is going off so you know its yours.

  • how much does that viper alarm system cost

  • if you google Viper 5900 , you could find one for just under 200 dollars. Around the $185-$240 dollar price range. Install actually runs you more than the alarm itself in most places...

  • Mustang GT with a Viper Alarm System, Very nice ;)

  • oooh okay nice car anyway

  • nice car but starting ur car in a garage is a bad idea

  • Absolutely! haha but the other garage door was open too so no worries.

  • just imagine I had instaled 7900 Viper alarm in my Shelby.. Its a Manual gearbox so I OUGHT TO remember to left the car on neutral ALWAYS!

  • Be careful with that!

  • neutral safety switch and you'll be fine...hook that wire up and you should be ok...

  • Sweet Looking Bodystyle.
