Hey I was wondering I just got mine done today and my OEM alarm ( Honking) goes off if I hit the sensor or press any lock button. Was wondering how do I turn on the Viper Sirens instead of just the OEM Factory Alarm sound ? This would help alot. Thanks
@MBPC21 You mean "disarmed" not "unarmed," I think. I'd have to say these things should be banned. Who calls the cops when they hear one? I always assume it's another false alarm - which is about 99% of the time.
@papitosax81 its just the viper siren, how loud it it depends on where you mount it and how, you want it near the ground pointed down to echo off the ground
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have this very same viper alarm remote and all. I went on vacation and when i came home and started me truck it was dead. I jumped it and it works fine but now my remote is giving me attitude and talking back and wont mind. It only chirps but does noting. I have put in a new battery just incase but that was not it. have any ideas
Something similar happened to my girlfriends car. After it died and was jumped the remote start didn't work. Is your blue led light blink when you lock it up or does it stay a solid blue? Anyway, if thats the case your system is in vallet mode and if you know what your doing you can search google on how to pull it out of this mode, or bring it to a place that installs vipers, they might even take it out of vallet mode for free as it takes 3 minutes,
@MBPC21 hi, no i have no blue light blinking or blue light staying on. Its like its dead. The alarm sends out the message but there is no response from the car. I was readying on the valet thought i would give that a try. But I think its strange
There are brands of remote starts that are made for cars with manual transmissions. It won't allow the car to start unless it is in the neutral position
awsome. im gonna get one for my t-bird. Just gotta quick question. Do you need to have the key in the ignition to disable the wheel lock? OR can you have it disabled?
does anyone actually know much about the viper 5900 and especially the remote start? i've been told by everyone that remote start will over crank therfore wear everything out a lot faster etc, but theoretically remote start should do the exact opposite as it cuts off immediately after ignition has been made......
you can set the crank time on the alarm so it does not over do it......voltage check is also an option.... best by far is making sure that it is checking your tach system so it prevents over cranking.......many options just need to program it right.
Here's the problem, too many people have alarms that sound close to it. Every time a alarm goes off, you'd have to run outside to see if it's yours. Unless you can customize how it chirps. Nice car, looks faster than my Hyundai.
true it does sound like the standard alarm...but the receiever of the alarm system vibrates and makes noise when the alarm is going off so you know its yours.
if you google Viper 5900 , you could find one for just under 200 dollars. Around the $185-$240 dollar price range. Install actually runs you more than the alarm itself in most places...
Is the viper a very good remote start to have

So, what if someone is attempting to to get in your car, the alarm cuts off in "30 seconds" and they get inside, what then?
