  • does it work like a intercom system i f u plug in a mic

  • I have one of these in my schools church so I was walking up the stairs then it started sounding it was not loud.

  • @8350717ful Well i'd slap you.

  • @8350717ful No.

  • will you sell me that

  • My middle school I attended has the EST Speaker strobes. Some appear to be either Horn strobes or chime strobes but since they are next to doors I suspect they are horn strobes. I do susect more likely the speakers sound like this one except maybe with no automated voice. But Im not 100% sure. Back in my days there from 97-00 they still had the original 1954 single stroke bells with the coded pull stations.

  • Can this speaker strobe come with out the voice or is the voice standard?

  • Where can I get the evac sound?

  • I've never seen an alarm with the strobe on the bottom.

  • @hyperbaricchicken101 I believe newer alarms now have the strobe at either the top or bottom. Wheelock does have some that have the strobe in the center but going across sideways on the signal instead of up and down. As far as the EST Genesis. The strobe flashes good but I think the strobe design is kinda Dinky. I myself think EST should have kept the horns chimes and speakers with the same strobe as the Integrity as Wheelock has the same strobe design for all signals except the Exeder.

  • @MrWill1985 I've seen strobes faced horizontally too.

  • @hyperbaricchicken101 I have noticed many newer strobes are horizontally these days. Before they used to be vertical but lately that doesnt seem to be the case. Where I work all Wheelock ASs and RSSs on our floor are vertically. The second floor they are either vertically or horizontally. And I believe the first floors ASs and RSSs are vertically as well. Except the old circuit city location still with the 7002s. Outdated. And a system that malfunctions too much.

  • @MrWill1985 I've seen the strobe on the side before too.

  • Since you said these are speakerstrobes I assume you're able to play any sound you want using one of these. Here's my question, can you play a Simplex message on this system?

  • It's an EST Genesis w/ EST Integrity horn and EST EVAC System.

  • how is the strobe powered?

  • @kjhs09 From the panel.

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm it sounds like your intergity

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm Bugs Bunny Says Attention 00:14-00:33, 00:45-01:04.

  • The voice sounds like a douchebag.

  • great video, can you send me that voice file?

  • lol, I have to listen to this every month at school, except instead of the integrity tone, it's a tone that sounds like a MASS on 2400Hz.

  • Where did you get this message?

  • Someone sent it to me a while back. I do not remember who though. I think it came from a video on YouTube of a Genesis speaker/strobe playing this message in a building.

  • can you send it to me?

  • Is there such a thing as a speaker/strobe like this one that actually has the voice warning recorded onto a chip inside the speaker itself? I find it interesting that they called it a Genesis speaker, I should look up the meaning of the word Genesis. I know that for example the Sega MegaDrive was known as the Genesis in the US.

  • Not really... it would be too hard to do, plus all the voice messages and alarm signals would be out of sync and it would sound like a jumbled up mess!

  • @NewAgeServerAlarm System Sensor ExitPoint

  • @Lachlant1984 Vimpex FireCryer.
