Some people look at me funny when I say I go to a barber shop, and others look a my hair and kind of get this look like "yes.....it all makes sense now"

i know how you feel. i havent had my hair cut since the 4th grade. i think i would have a panic attack if i were to go in now. lol you kind of remind me of one of my brothers though. when we were little it didn't matter how my dad cut it my brother would hate it and go around the house screaming and crying about it. of course your not going around screaming and crying about it but it did remind me. lol : )

If you ever want a new hairstyle there are salons that can take your picture and show you with different haircuts/styles..and there are also sites on the internet that can do the same when you upload a picture. I will search for a site and let you know what i find :)

I have had a lot of the same problems finding someone to cut my hair properly. Finally, I went to a place that only cuts hair nothing else. they have seemed to do a better job with my birds nest of hair.

Yep, I have noticed that. When I see people outside of where I am used to seeing them, I have a hard time placing them. Once, there was a bank teller and I couldn't think where I used to see her. I was in the line, waiting. By the time I got to the front (5 min), I had placed her. But it was tough!

I think your hair looks fine. Don't be upset that they shampoo your hair even if you have already shampoo'd it at home. It is something we are trained to do. It really actually does make your hair cut better. We don't know what kind of products you are using at home. Some home products dull our shears. So we like to shampoo to protect our shears. They are the most expensive tool we have. they cost more then the chair you sat in. lol! I think you might of found you a new stylist huh!
