right now most people think SL and virtual worlds are stuff only shut in geeks play all day long but they cant see the possibilities this technology has, i believe in it 100% the very people who shun it will be the same people finding themselves on it in the next 5 to 10 years
I have been working on visualisation project using Second life and Google earth.
The name of the project is MUUIP;
Computer animated visualisation of ideals in order to promote harmonious and synergistic creativity.
The world demand is growing exponentially. We need to create synergistic systems based on the ideal world we are seeking. Such visualisation systems will prove to be great tools to help us create new synergistic systems.
I've been kicking round this idea for a few months now, and even discussed it at a meeting with the DTI in the UK earlier in the year so it's really great to see that NASA is really looking at making it a reality. And if they need help....
Not to bust on NASA content overall and this idea overall. Yet it is so dry to many 'casual' people that folks do not sustain interest. I had proposed to NASA two years ago that adding their content into something like Star Trek:Online...where there is both science AND adventure.
