Great video! Those Bubble Bags are a serious scam. The best hash I have ever seen was made using super annal version of the gravity method.

All you need for making great hash is standard household equipment, with an optional step of adding a single 25µ filter to put your wet hash on top of, with a regular houshold paper towel underneath to slowly pull water with contaminants away from your hash.

could you not leave a little bit more water in the mason jars so its more liquidy rather than soupy and put it through a coffee filter, hash will be left behind in the coffee filter?

for the siphoning part, i used a turkey baster. Works very well.

Good tutorial man. I just tried it out for the first time, but only used 7gs. I used some bud that I didnt feel like smoking, and stems. I threw some ice in one of my mason jars, and the herb, then water.(Its tap water. I let it sit in bottles for a few days for the chlorine to evaporate.) Shook the jar for about 10 mins., till it when "beer" aha. then did it a little extra. Put it in the fridge for 45 mins, then strained it, and coffee screen filtered it. and then put it on tinfoil drying.

@vinternatten When you're making dry hash (without the use of ice or water) u should let it dry. I think for this u should do it fresh

That is a good question... I prefer to hash the trimmings up when they are dry and have spent a few hours in the fridge to cool off (making it easier for the trichs to "snap off") I suppose however that you could hash them up while they are wet... You are ultimately putting them in water,

We use tap water filtered through reverse-osmosis... We also feed the plants with this water but I'm sure tap water will not ruin your product by any means. :-)

Well water contains 2 parts Hydrogen to every 1 part Oxygen... lol, I'm not totally sure what you mean but I'll take a stab at an answer for ya :-)

The water I use is filtered through a reverse osmosis filter then stored in a 45 Gallon reservoir so that all remaining chlorine evaporates. Everything else in the water if from the plant... Hope that helps

Seek out a homebrew supply store and get a five gallon plastic fermentation bucket. They have a spigot about an inch off the bottom to attach the tubing to. Makes it far easier.

ahhh tokin' black guy, you're the best. Do you know of any of the traditional ways to make hash, I've been looking into moroccan style hash and how it's made. It's similr to the whole bubble bag method without the water, you put your herbals through various screens until you get down to kief and then press what's left giving you a crumbly kind of hash, I think you'd probably get a higher yeild from it... Just wondering if you knew anything about it. Cool Video anyway man, Peace

@AcousticGeorge Ya man, I know what ur saying. I believe the Moroccans use a dry-sifting method (if that documentary was accurate). They make huge screen sifters framed with wood and literally shake the dried shake across the giant screens for hours to collect the dry trichomes (keif). They then have different methods of compressing it into hash. The problem (used losely) is that much of the plant matter falls thru as well degrading the hash, often keeping it from bubbling like the h2o method...

Works a charm, thanks mate, I'll invest in some bags eventually but this will do for now. I used an ounce of unsmokabable 'hermie' bud and ended up with 3.7g of fairly nice hash, I didn't dry the bud so theres a slight taste of chlorophyll but it's ok. BTW I poured the last bit of water and the trichs into a shallow bowl and left it on the radiator for a couple of hours to evaporate, worked a treat, prob quicker than using a fan.

@hitthehazards Yea I've never encountered em before either, got a shock when I saw the mystical legendary 'nanners'. I'm praying they didn't cum all over my other beautiful girls. I posted some pics on Rollitup but their crappy quality and dont show much. They were 35 days into flower so had nice nugs and plenty of trichs but were only halfway done. I iced up about an ounce of hermie bud just waiting for all the trichs to settle, I'll let you know how it turns out.

Yes, you can use male trimmings. Although male plants have FAR less THC than female plants. The THC is mainly found in an oil located inside of the tiny trichomes (crystals) on the flowering female plant...
