@Paria2489 in fact there was korean cover of Volevo un gatto nero sung by a little girl in 70s...and during 60s-70s Italian-French song was very popular in Korea.. and there used to be many korean cover songs..even in 1980s Korean televison used to air San Remo and Eurovision Song contest.. even me know Anna Oxa, Mina.....yes. not every one knows. but Euro songs-especially Italian songs-had a vast fans in Foreign Music scene in Korea back then next to Anglo songs..
If you guys want to save the search for the title in the video, someone else already posted a comment with the title of the original italian children's song, but it's "Volevo un gatto nero," meaning "I wanted a black cat."
yeap during the video, it shows as a sub that it actually origins from Italy. i didn't know till now! cos it's like a children's song so everyone knows it.
Late at night, Late at night, only they know the darkness inside of me but you don't know do you? No you don't know...(they all sing along "We don't know!") Only my friends know when I am in the darkness because they are all with me.
Only my friends know me, even when I am coy getting by everyone, do you know? Do you know? Only my friends know...my teeth like a black cat...only they know what is inside of me...Do you really know? Do you really know?
Spectacular! Coy mysterious and charming! She is the lovely black cat! She is a wonderful enchantress! She is so beautiful and gracious! This is one of the best performances I have ever seen! THANK YOU!
Not "ripping them off," "riffing on their take." Similar implications, but the former has negative connotations while the latter is harmless. =)
I'd never accuse Jaurim of ripping off a group/musician/song. They always acknowledge their sources. Heck, that was the entire basis for their remake album.
So Cute~!! X)

I love korea... im italian and my wife is korean
but...
this is a old song from zecchino d'oro it's a contest for young people so it's actually a little girl who sang the song for the first time.
As my wife said the text it's different from the original version i guess it was impossible to keep the same words...
sorry if i made some mistakes
italian is my first language:P

dude, i love all the old turbo stuff but this girl has more talent in her little pinky than all the turbo guys together...
melonbarmonster 3 years ago 23
i'm not saying that she doesn't have more talent than them. its just that the turbo version sounds more appealing to me.
namunamuchan 3 years ago
I agree. She's an awesome singer but I just love Turbo's version better. It's probably the beats and the dancing :P

There is no "Soviet Korea." You're probably thinking of the communist North Korea. That's not this one.

it's not turbo's - ___- ;
it's just really old korean song "blackcat"
eunjinx3 4 years ago
Interesting. I didn't know that, but I hadn't thought to notice its style is slightly traditional.
Still, Turbo brought it to pop culture awareness, and it's possibly Jaurim is riffing off their take.
p00lman 4 years ago
haha yeah. . . my grandparents know this song - ___-;
lol.
eunjinx3 4 years ago
how is jaurim riping them off?
turbo actually made the remake
but jaurim is just singing it in different style for special event
they don;t have this song on the albums

In a month or two. They're currently debuting new songs in concert for their "next album", so it should probably be out soon.
