  • Yeah I was trying to hard one time and got stuck at a certain level. Also when I get deep and start seeing colors my eyes want to open like they are looking at something it like im confusing my brain lol.

  • a soul who is a blessing to the world! thanks to him!

  • looks like a chick not a monk

  • I like Tan Dtoon because he doesn't seem lofty and rehearsed. There's wisdom in his honesty and spontaneity.....even if he's searching for the answer himself.

There's something about knowing yourself without putting on an act. I find that more impressive then pretending you have authority.

  • That is EXACTLY why I like his talks! Perfectly put PNHassett...

  • smiling, thank you

  • I thought you had to be at least 21 to become an ordained monk. I would think you'd need to reach a certain level of maturity to even understand the Buddhist doctrine.

  • I think its probably the other way around. The older you get the more stubborn you are in your ways.

  • @rolfeder some monks r kids

  • Metta

  • thank you, peace.

  • With the way he talks, his whole body-language, along with what he says, appears to me as pure embodiment of peace, harmony, tranquility, wisdom and happiness. So innocent.. Not a single trace of conceit ! That really gives hope :)

All the best and thank you for sharing !

  • Hmm...Im in university right now and some of my friends have told me that I think too hard or I try too hard. But when I meditate, I seem to just not try at all, just sit and listen to sounds around me, even the faintest ones. This video made me understand that better, thank you so much! greatly appreciated!

  • Very good monk. I wish him best wishes: let he attain the fruit and then let he teach others the way because he got skills and a true potential. Then finaly let he reach Nibbana in this very life. Namaste.

  • amazing..this guy has a few hundred comments, compared to the hundreds of thousands that pathetic, sick videos get on ytube/just shows the state of ignorance that the world wallows in..

  • @ilTroubadori yep, that's how things are...

"Blind is this world. Few are those who see clearly.

As birds escape from a net, few go to a blissful state."

    -from the Dhammapada.

  • A person full of wisdom.

  • yea, great stuff!

  • How innocent and sweet. So great! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.

  • This is Wat Pah Sunan in Kanchanaburi in Thailand.

  • I am Ra and meditate every day and night (for years now). I really want contact with You (in the film). The uploader;; Do you have e-mail address to this munk-center and the name of this munk?

  • For someone who meditates as much as you Ra, why do you 'really want' anything? Isn't this the essence of what Phra Tan Dtoon is saying?

    regards.

  • I am not good to write english. My english is not my mother tongue. - - "really want" is perhaps not the "right word". My intention was to get info about some personally topics (and to share some personally topics). "SOIDOG45": Thank you for your correction (me)

  • My apologies Ra

    Metta
