@rivermania10 Yes, I myself took the ECE program. The teachers are amazing because they really care about children and what they are teaching. Overall the program is great!!! You wont be disappointed!
I would like to follow Aerospace Ing.. I live in South America... but i am planning to start my studies in Ontario next year.... and its really hard to choose.... SO, would you prefer Ryerson or Carleton university? I really like both. (Or maybe there is an other recomended Univ. outside ontario?) thanks =D
@safarsafar1234 It really depends on the program...I got accepted having a GPA 3.887 from college and graduated from Ryerson with GPA 3.980...I learnt so many things there and I had several amazing profs (profs tha teach also at U of T, Queen or York) ...I have a BSN with RU...I do not believe in prestigious schools...if you like to learn you'll learn no matter what the name of the school is
After four years of attending Ryerson, I can state unequivocally that I regret my decision of not accepting McMaster's offer. If your average is over 80% in high school, you deserve better than Ryerson.
oh please dont pick york its not good for teaching at all. Ryerson is very hands on and practical. You also need a community along with education. Thats what makes anyone successful. Ryerson is all about community, contacts, quality education. Go see for yourself.
I'm an American living in Buffalo, NY who already holds a bachelor's degree. I'm actually looking into getting my elementary education degree and would like to be certified to teach in Ontario. Anyone have any advice for me about Ryerson University and the Education department?
(of course i'm going to research the actual site myself. Was just interested in hearing any alumni or current student input)
If your really into teaching, then you should head over to york university. They have one of the best teaching colleges in Canada. and its in the same city.
certain profs and facilities. registering for courses can be awful, depending on how overloaded their system is at the time, i recently payed $20 for a simple letter that proved that I'm a student of the school. it was written the next day, but I had to wait a week to pick it up. just stuff like that. nothing big.
I'm going into my third year, and I have more than just a few complaints about the school. I've been venting to everyone I know, but truth be told, I just want to finish it and never look back. I already transferred from UW, so I don't want to waste any more time before getting a degree. It's just a means to an end as far as I'm concerned.
i love the structures... so nice..
