Too bad cops can't rush protests. Unless it was cleared by the city, then it is an illegal gathering.. in which case I don't know why the police can't do their job and disperse the mob.
To any protesters: I have noticed, from my own experience, that when the cops start to move in the message changes from anti-war to anti-cop. I can understand why this would happen but it's not helping anything. Stick to the original message and make it abundantly clear that you are peaceful. Stop yelling at the cops please. I did not edit this. The fact is while several protesters did attempt to cross the poilice line at no time were they violent. The poilce had a right to detain them, not shoot them mutiple times with rubber bullets.
Those officers are armed to the teeth. Altho their more deadly weaponry is not used, pepper spray, rubber bullets, and tear gas (not too mention truncheons) hurt like a bitch. Those hippies are trying to express their opinion that this entire affair is shameful--why else would it be happening at night?
These officers are showing an INCREDIBLE amount of restraint. Unfortuneately these "non-violent" protestors are really criminals who have no respect for the law and forced the police to act. I am so impressed with the restraint these officers have shown. Night after night they have to listen to the rantings and ravings of these obnoxious hippies yet they stand out there and bravely do their jobs with the utmost professionalism. Keep up the good work officers!!!!
That night I personaly saw an officer strike an injuried protester from behind. She had been shot at close range with a lesslethal projetile and was limping away as the police line moved forward. Aprently she wasn't limping fast enough.

Other than that, I have no respect for police, or there laws. Do you think slavery and jim crow were simply enforced by the common sense of the day alone? No way, they needed police to enforce those laws. The police, historically speaking, have always been used crush popular movements. Fuck the police and everything they stand for.
