You read what you said? Lol. "It doesn't slow you down it cuts power to the wheels"... so for the second or two it's engaged it is taking power away till it decides you have good traction. Taking power away = slows down vs giving the car full power. The T/C kicked in in this case cause it slipped for .1 seconds on sand and it didnt need to come on.
True it does. 2005 and 2006 3.5L makes 201hp, 2006 GTP makes 240hp. However, the 3.5L is in two cars, the V6 and GT. V6 has horrible eco-gearing, GT's is sportier. A guy with a built V6 (P&P, tune, intake, exhaust at least) can't stay even with stock GT's because of the gearing. GTP has even more "sportier" final drive as well than the GT.

I was going back and forth between the G8 GT and the GTO for a while when thinking of what to replace the G6 with... ultimately GTO was the choice cause they're going for $5,000 cheaper than used G8 GT's even. All 3 are fun cars, just the G6's lack mods, and I had gotten a sedan and really wanted a coupe again.
