There isn't a draft or anything, no one is being forced to go into Afghanistan, every current member of our military, no matter what branch, has gone there by their own will. And for many of these people who sacrifice years of their lives for service to their country, serve and protect us, end up dying for their country. As for the many people in Guantanamo, that great idea came around when Bush was in office and I agree is wrong, and should be gone.

The wind in the valleys require a very good spotter to zero in the sniper though.

I would like to see a spetnaz "sniper" attempt to shoot better than delta force or even a USMC recon scout sniper. They can't. Did you see what spetnaz target practice was? Some piece of paper taped up with scotch tape.
um, who doesn't shoot at paper targets for zero and practice? Russian units have 2 snipers per squad and thier job is to engage targets at around 800 yards. That means a boatload of snipers compared to the small handfull the US uses. Thier snipers are set up totally dif than our US snipers jops. You can't compare the two dif kinds of sniping. I'm pretty sure the Russians have some bolt action rifles for the super headshot shit, they even have a 14mm for the long knockdown shots.

Which soldiers that are refusing to go? There isn't a draft or anything, no one is being forced to go into Afghanistan, every current member of our military, no matter what branch, has gone there by their own will. And for many of these people who sacrifice years of their lives for service to their country, serve and protect us, end up dying for their country. As for the many people in Guantanamo, that great idea came around when Bush was in office and I agree is wrong, and should be gone.

i have a russian friend in my class here in norway, and when we played paintball, he thought that it would be an awesome tactic to stand out in the open without cover, so he could se the enemies better.
he got shot 3 times in the face, and 1 in he's groin.

Carlos Hathcock was the sniper from nam, was a 1.950m shot if I remember correctly, but done with a Springfield rifle adds up on the impressiveness. 2.400 with an 40A2 rifle, or likewise, isnt anywhere near as impressive! Afghanistan boast alot of unofficial longshots, 2.000+ isnt really unusual there, since the highpowered rifles and terrain allow such shots. The wind in the valleys require a very good spotter to zero in the sniper though.

um, who doesn't shoot at paper targets for zero and practice? Russian units have 2 snipers per squad and thier job is to engage targets at around 800 yards. That means a boatload of snipers compared to the small handfull the US uses. Thier snipers are set up totally dif than our US snipers jops. You can't compare the two dif kinds of sniping. I'm pretty sure the Russians have some bolt action rifles for the super headshot shit, they even have a 14mm for the long knockdown shots.

for some odd reason, out of all the special forces out there i tend to enjoy the russians or any big bad special ops team in eastern europe. them and their ski masks and super fighting techniques is awesome, it reminds me of the big russian dude on the Dead or Alive game, its so cool watching them in action, this is the real way of fighting not top equipment, sky diving, just old school kick ass!
