Not sure where you got the idea that the book says they have to lose joy to enter Heaven. I've read it and studied it. It doesn't say that they have to lose all their joy, in fact it says just the opposite. About Heaven, it says,"Here is joy that cannot be shaken. Our light can swallow up your darkness: but your darkness cannot now infect our light." What they do have to lose in order to gain Heaven is their selfishness, pride, controlling of others, and "their rights" to themselves. Good book.
