this game was SO AWESOME, they had everything right, it REALLY FELT LIKE YOU WERE IN A FANTASY WORLD. not like wow where it feels more like you're playing a smaller-scale version of the average american life.

I agree with you matey. I reckon for EQ2 they should have kept the enormous epic zones like the deserts. They should have hill giants and sand giants but make them 100 foot tall. And incorporate real physics and combat so you actually have to dodge the mighty attacks of such a foe rather than rely on endless number crunching. ZZZZZ dodge block block dodge ZZZZZ.

Imagine a group of players actually having to work together with rogues and warriors leaving their plate armour at home so they have the mobility to avoid the giants attacks, while wizards and rangers stand atop a nearby dune launching barrages of attacks at the weak points of the giant to bring it down.

No hit points.... just get the right accuracy and power on a ranged hit with an arrow in the eye or penetrate the rib through to the heart and the giant will fall.

Or other ways to kill it. The rogues and warriors manage to cut through the heel of the giant to sever its achilles tendon!! The giant falls to its knee, crushing your poor rogue friend but merely breaking your leg allowing you to crawl free.

The giants head is in reach!! You climb up to his knee and slice its throat!! VICTORY!!

@Dadge42 True, when I first heard of this game and started to play it back in the days it was like you said, that you actually were in a fantasy world, another world. I miss that feeling, have not got it from any other mmorpg so far, been looking so much for the next great mmorpg.

Hi. :) I would really love to hear the original EQ1 Kelethin music.

I'll never, never forget that first trip down the lift in the dark of night, and suddenly seeing flashes and sparkles of colour as higher levels cast their spells.

The grunt of orcs, and the buzz of dragonflies.. and those tinkling pixies I always felt bad killing!
