The sad part about this movie was that I thought it was going to be about gay marriage.

Actually, not that you people care about the TRUE story, but Dan White did NOT have animosity towards gays. He voted against several anti gay initiatives. He was unstable and went after people who were trying to keep him off the board. Milk was one of those people. Dan was going after 4 people that day onlly ONE of them was gay. Even though I had a small feeling that Mickey Rourke was going to win, I think that this time the Academy made the right choices, especially with Kate Winslet and Penelope Cruz.

The only reason I don't count Heath Ledger is because I know that had it been left up to the Academy, they would have snubbed him like they did with The Dark Knight.

It was only through pressure from the public that Ledger won, and I think that's just marvellous (it shows that the public is a better judge for this).

I remember Sean Penn filming "milk" last year. I work at the St francis hotel in SF and saw him everyday in the health club where I work.
