  • u are really flexible...and its so easy for u to do it... its a lot of strain for me since im heavy on my hips and thighs :(

  • hi,well i'd like 2 ask this exercises can i help to have thinner legs.I'd like to emphases that i'm not fat,i'm 55 kg and 1.76 cm,but i have this problem that my pulps are not as i want them.My problem is that I'm allright with my weight,i only want 2 tone my arms and legs,and i cant go 2 a gym cuz i cant go for money,for time,Are these exercises gonna help me?I walk and sometimes i feel my legs jiggle,or maybe this is my imagination.thnx in advance.

  • This will help shape your legs for sure but you may want to work on your body too so you are balancing all of your muscles. Try the Stomach Series workout as well.

  • @kriingkriing I guess that you're problem is more the water your body stores. You can't really do anything against that. Even working out won't make you get rid of that. But you can try to lower it with working out and maybe diet. :) good luck :D

  • It's okay if you can't kick your leg as high as the video, just kick as high as you can comfortably--you will still get the benefit :). These exercises will help make your legs leaner!

  • Both--the side kick exercises really help to keep your muscles long and lean, don't skip them even if they seem 'easy' they are key.

  • Yes! You can absolutely do these at your own pace. When I first started, I could barely lift my leg up on some of the exercises :). Keep it up you will get stronger!

  • Hey, I'm 14 and I want my legs to be skinnier but it feels like I'm doing these exercises wrong 'cause I don't feel the burning in my legs...? And also, I can't do the last exercise 'cause my hips hurts when I do them...is that normal...? :S

  • Hi, As your legs get stronger you may begin to feel the 'burn' more but you can also try to make sure your form matches what I'm doing in the video. The better your form gets the more you will feel it. If an exercise hurts, just leave it out or try to make the movement smaller until it doesn't hurt. It might be you have a weak area in your hip.

  • for good results, you need to do about one hour pilates routine per day. Today is my 6th day of Pilates, see you in 30 days, and i'll tell you about the results.

  • im 15 and small but want to lose 15 pounds. me and my best freind started going to the gym 3 days ago and run on the tredmil on 7 for 20 minutes and then do pilates for 20 minutes with a couple of other exercises. do you think the running and pilates would help tone and lose a bit of chub on my thighs and calves?

  • I really need to get back to pilates! I do a great deal of weight lifting (squats with the bar, cables, leg press, etc) and even though I'm a woman I do get "bulky" muscles. As defined as they look, I would prefer to look more feminine. Do you do heavier weights in conjunction with pilates? I'm not sure how I should go about fitness sometimes.

  • Hey, I have a really big calves and thighs also. Actually my legs are really bulk and they are really not match to my short body ==, does this exercise will make them smaller? 

  • Its too hard there's no way to do these perfect like you?! really hard! I lost 39 kilos(85.8 pounds.) it was fast and i really need pilates to look skinny

  • Wouldn't this make your calves bulkier? You're putting all your weight on one leg and pushing for long periods of time.

  • Please ask your doctor if you are okay to do these exercises! You don't want to hurt your knee worse by doing something it's not ready for yet.

  • @Reka941012 I had ACL surgery and I can do everything in PE and my PT said this was fine so no worries :)

  • Hi! Joseph Pilates had a saying: "In 10 sessions you'll feel the difference, in 20 sessions you'll see the difference and in 30 sessions you'll have a whole new body." This workout is only 8 minutes and he was talking about 1 hour per workout but you will still see a change. Do this one and the Stomach Series workout every day and write back after 30 days. Good luck!

  • @alisawyattfitness 1 session= following along this video once? let's treat this 8 min workout as a circut. How many circuts should one do to get the best results?

  • I've been doing this with the stomach series 3-5 times a week (on top of my regular cardio) and am amazed at the results. I don't even need to lift weights anymore, my legs and abs have never looked better! :)

  • You can make your legs feel and look longer and leaner but they might not actually grow longer :). Yes you will definitely see results after just 2 weeks if you do this every day. Measure your hips, waist, thigh and calf and then do it again every 2 weeks. Please write again and tell me how it's going!

  • What other exercises do you do? Do you do a lot of cardio or mostly Pilates? Your body is pretty much perfect!

  • I do all kinds of other exercise but Pilates is the main thing that keeps me in shape! It completely transformed my body when I first started and I used to have knee problems, not anymore.

  • does pilates burn a lot of fat? i mean, you make it look so easy, but when i tried it, it did make me sweat a lot lol. but does it get your heart rate up enough to burn a lot of fat? would you recommend stopping the pilates routine every 10-15 mins and doing two mins skipping or another cardio exercise inbetween to get the heart rate up or is that not a good idea? i only want to lose 14- 21 lbs but i want to do it faster with cardio

  • For people who think this is hard and impossible. Try the basic pilates till your muscles around your legs, hips, thighs and ab are stronger. Then this one shouldn't be a problem for you. It's really great and fun. Thanks.

  • Hi Alisa, if i do your pilates for sexy legs in 8 min. & you Pilates stomach series workout every other day once a daya i will see any results or is better if i do it at least once a day everyday? what are your suggestions? People have said its hard but ive down multiple dance classes and i just got out of my second year of jr. police academy so im pretty confident i can do it. thanks for the vidd! <33

  • hi! you probably will notice a difference right away if you practice this twice a day. please take care of yourself and take time off if you get too sore. you might notice changes slightly faster than an adult because being 13 means your body is still growing so it should respond quickly. have fun!

  • yes. when you're practicing, really reach your legs long work hard.

  • yes, it will make your calves appear leaner because it helps lengthen the muscles. it won't actually make your legs longer, they will just look that way :).

    i have a question though. when i dont tighten up my calves, its all just hanging there. however, when i do use my calf muscle, the bulk of it seems to be muscle. so is that actually fat or muscle? o.O

  • it's probably mostly muscle if that's what you see when you tighten. exercises will help tone muscle and get rid of fat so keep it up!

  • I love the enthusiasm! You'll probably be sore enough to notice a difference immediately but please take care of yourself and back off to once a day if you find it makes you too sore.

  • It will help give your skinny legs nice definition but it probably won't make them thicker. Add squats to your workouts for more muscle in your bottom and thighs.

  • Yes it will help to lengthen your thighs. When you're doing the exercises, think of reaching your legs as long as you possibly can and grow tall in your spine at the same time, it really stretches you out.

  • @kalaibebeful I got huge legs while pregnant and gained 72 pounds.. I tried the gym, walking, running.. all of it.

    Nothing did much but a few pounds lost.

    I am now 117 pounds and have a killer body all due to giving in and trying pilates! It really works, promise!

  • Hi! You might be using your feet too much when you're doing the circles. Try to relax the muscles in your feet and concentrate on making the movement and strength come from your hips and stomach instead. Whenever your feet start to tense up, remind them to relax.
