secondly whos concern(including the child) is it what are the prefrences of their parents? honestly even in an heterosexual relationship do the parents sit there and discuss "ok sweety this is what me and daddy do at night" no they dont even the topic of the "birds and the bees" are something that a child isnt comely to know about at even that age. When he or she is ready to know of such matters they will pretty much know their own orientation without any influence towards their prefrence.
i like the points that you have made, morality and society not being something derived from nature. the point of the matter is that a child is never taught to hate or fear anything. hatered towards homosexuality is TAUGHT to you, because a child as seen in many gay family videos and as well as just steping back and just looking at reality is not born hating anyone. Hatred and fear are taught.
I'm posting this on all DepFaux related videos. The homosexual militants aka the "depfox" channel blocked me a fortnight ago from posting on their videos. It took just ONE comment for them to block me. Like most homosexual militants, they obviously do not believe in America and our right to freedom of speech. They preach "love and tolerance" and yet cant "tolerate" any opposing views. I merely voiced my opposition to their lifestyle choice and my support for childrens rights to one mother (CONT)
and one father. Not only are they Anti-American, but they're also big hypocrites as they made a video about being blocked from another sodomite's channel called "davey wavey". I have never been silenced before and you wont silence me now!
Childrens rights 2012! Religious freedom 2012! BACHMANN 2012!
You can post freely on my channel if you want. None-the-less Bachmann is crazy, the two men behind depfox seem to be great parents and nice people, and it's atrocious that gay marriage isn't legalized in every state.
SuperAtheistBrothers, thank you for stating that you can't look at nature and derive morality. There are harsh realities in both the civilized society as well as the wild. I've also mentioned researchig Prop 8 that the will of the people isn't always right. Especially in the case of racist and sexist laws like Chinese men and white women getting married and the white woman would lose her citizenship--interracial marriage ban etc. Well reasoned out!
Gay marriage shold not be an issue for the goverment it should be left to the curches. many churches now support gay couples. gay adoption should be handled the same way. get the goverment out of it.
@tubbymanbat That would be great, but it is the government that recognizes marriages and gives the benefits for couples, It would be difficult for that
That is actually a fallacy of composition. There is an intrinsic property added when we assembly a computer by manufacturing and processing all those components, rendering it unnatural. Ask yourself what is the difference between a natural shelter or an unnatural shelter (a modern home), and I imagine that you will understand what that intrinsic property is, human tampering. If you refuse to acknowledge this property, then I would argue you reject the whole concept of natural and unnatural.
You certainly can reject natural and unnatural, but it is on the same lines as rejecting selfishness and being unselfish. It just makes the term lose meaning in the expected contexts without actually gaining any explanatory power.
Only in the sense that bald is a hair color. Its a category error really.
Furthermore, atheism lacks all the qualities that would make atheism a religion. There is no unifying doctrine, there is no prescribed beliefs, and no necessary values or principles. All atheists can agree on is that they don't believe in god. In the same sense any philosophical position must be a religion by your standards. Including Vegetarianism, Libertarianism, Determinism, etc.
But isn't your faith in the same end a quality of religion? Or the fact the each of you band together for sanctuary against Christians? Also you rely on science to beef up your faiths. Science is your unifed doctrine. I understand that its appealing as a rebellious channel for youth. And I myself though confirmed by the church am not chaothlic. And I am not trying to make fun. I promise. But a dictionary definition or quote you heard isn't neccessarily the truth. Try think outside the box.
Your equivocating faith here. I actually have a video on that exact fallacy you just made, and the title is the same name as the fallacy. Atheists don't have the same faith religious folks have.
Science doesn't empower faith in the sense that you mean.
Also besides the "bold isn't a hair color" the rest of my comment was my own thoughts and ideas. I DO think outside the box. If I didn't I wouldn't subscribe to Christians, read the bible, or be willing to change my beliefs with the evidence.
Do you honestly think I would have become a Vegetarian by blind ignorance? Keeping my mind in a box?
I follow the evidence, where ever it may lead.
Science isn't a doctrine, and atheists may believe in the supernatural or paranormal if they choose. Atheism only prescribes that one doesn't believe in a god.
Now please, go watch my video on the equivocation of faith, and we can pick up the conversation on faith from there if your interested.
The main problem with natural morality is how we define morality; the two most philosophically valid definitions are "anything not contingent on humans" (i.e. we're always unnatural) and "anything something can do" (in which case nothing is un-natural). Un-natural doesn't mean dangerous or painful and vice versa.
The naturalistic fallacy only works if there's no 'bridge' between is and ought; no natural fact automatically implies a value.
Nicely done -- particularly your argument about what is natural.
As I listened, I was reminded of people who used to tell me that my being gay was unnatural and one of the ways I could know this was by looking to the "animal kingdom" where, it was purported, there was no homosexuality. (I used to ask why humans should look to animals for sexual guidance, which usually got my interlocutor to babbling.) As evidence of precisely the opposite became increasingly well known, the story...
...quickly changed: I was told that I shouldn't be looking to the "animal kingdom" for guidance on human sexuality.
If there is anything antigay apologists -- and let's face it, they're mostly religious apologists -- are good at is changing their story when they have to.
I actually have a guy on my latest video that is denying there is homosexuality in nature. Been trying to explain it to him, but he claims that his university textbook says that there are no gay animals. He's been told about studies but denies them claiming we don't have proof.
This natural argument gets irritating after a while.
Oh definitely. It is one of those fallacies people disregard at face value. I have bickered on and on about this fallacy, and people have openly denied it; despite the numerous examples and websites I submitted to them. I feel your pain :p

Actually if you break them down to component parts, computers ARE natural. They're made of petroleum, gold, silicon, and lead for the most part.
