I feel bad for you! As a skin care professional its sad to see when stuff like this happens. And on the prices, It really does matter where you are located. I'm from a town of 7,000 in Central IL and $65-$80 is average. Anything over that and you'll have people laughing at the ridiculousness of the price.
Goes to show ladies dont take cheap alternatives!!!!! If you want something done right be willing to invest money 65 is very cheap considering some places charge 300 or 350. Do your research always always

Horrendous - I do professional eyelash extensions (Malaga Spain) and I would not have the nerve to allow someone to leave looking like that. I would have cried - let alone you!!. However, as someone else commented - $65 is very cheap - so I would say you get what you pay for (but luckily you didnt pay). Next time consider that in the UK they pay anywhere from £60-£175 and here in Spain I charge Euros 60.00 because I have only been doing them for a few months! But dont give up!
Well the only advice I can give you is to trim them way down to size to fit in with the others at least. I'm soo sorry that happened to you but at least it was free I guess!

That is not normal at all. I have been wanting to get eyelash extensions and I got my second set yesterday. My eyelashes are beautiful, they look natural. That person who did you eyelash extensions should not be allow to do eyelash extensions. I can't imagine she has 10 year experience. TERRIBLE!!! Don't go back to her.

OMG, that is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO terrible! I have had mine done at a salon twice now and each time, they look as full as if I am wearing strip lashes. The lashes I get are very thick looking, strong and keep their curve, not crooked or bizarre at all. The "lashes" you got look as if they are pieces of black thread or something! I am sorry you had such a horrible experience. That salon should be reported and shut down!

I feel your pain... I got mine done this morning. I hate them :( They sound just like yours. Spikey, Spidery and Lumpy. Bits of glue all over the place and glue droplets on the tips! Just horrible. Making an appointment tomorrow morning to have them removed :(
wow thats bad! my girl does them so perfectly every time, thick, curved, long and every lash gets done, mine dont even look like that after 6 weeks! I would say Dianna does them even better than in the pics on the internet, she is fantastic, and is on the gold coast.

And btw I would have posted who I went to to warn people not to get them done by her. When the glue touches the skin that an absolute no no. it will swell your eyes up. plus by her using the type of glue on you with no protective pads under your eyes she could have seriously glued your eyes together orworse rip the bottom lashes out.
OMG yours sound just like mine i just got them done for $90 and i cant even SEE them! when i look real close they're all crooked AND she glued my eyes shut and tugged them open with tweezers. some of the lashes are glued onto my tightline! ahhhh so devastated
Hi, I had my lashes done by one the licensed tech in xtremecanada. I was very impressed. I also ended up taking an online course and I have to admit that my first volunteer client was almost excellent. I am also from Canada and I'm very scared to go to those nail/salons for an eyelash.
My goal is to practice on many clients before charging or maybe attend Xtreme lashes when I'm on maternity leave.
Hey you posted this on my birthday for one thing but other than that I am a licensed esthetician inthe state of Hawaii for two years now. I've been training to apply extensions from a good friend that is actually certified from NovaLash. I have watched her apply lashes everyweek and after a month I had finally got the chance to practice on an actual client.
All I have to say is OMG!!! that woman claims she did it for 10 years? my first application was cleaner, fuller and straighter than that!!!
Aww love, you have my luck. I went to get mine done and they gave me free eyebrow tint (like a black crayon across my forehead/unibrow) then told me they had no eyelashes left LOL

Ive had the same experience when i first got my lashes done here in melbourne australia at just lashes in docklands... it was horrible and the girl was extremely rude when i told her i wasnt satisfied with the way they turned out... that is not how they are suppose to look like!! try other places.. ask around for a good place word of mouth goes along way :) they can look really good if done correctly!!! I am happy with mine now my private hair dresser does them for only $60, r
it cost about 200 us dollars and up for real eyelash extensions but should last a long time 2 months with proper maintenance.when I go I am there for at least 2 hours ..i
the woman may just be ignorant .eyelash extensions if done right take alot of skill and time .the technician should always use protective eye pad the glue is dangerous if mis handled .but the glue is expensive and it sounds like they came off easy so she used the drugstore adhesive for individual lashes
it sounds like you got individual false eyelashes ...it cost about 200 us dollars for real eyelash extensions ! ..yours look like poor quality ... eyelash extensions are applied with medical grade adhesive which will not come off til you take it off with eyelash adhesive remover .most time eyelash extensions should be curled to match the curve of your natural lash .many women are confused about false eyelash individuals and eyelash extensions

That most of us spend many hours doing and paying a lot out for. people who do this type of work need to be reported to the trading standers authority. so sorry you had to experience this. thank you for sharing with us .

Looks horrible, my dear. You need to go to a specialist in the field. I know how you feel. My eyelashes are like yours and it is very difficult to make them longer and fuller with mascara. I was thinking of extensions too.

OMG!!!! I am an Eyelash Extensionist from the US and I have never seen any done that poorly. I am so sorry for your experience. But NO....nothing that you described is normal as far as lash extensions go.
She definitely did a bad job. Even if she's been doing eyelash extensions for "ten" years (and i don't believe that either) doing something the wrong way 1500 times doesn't make it any less wrong than the first time. It looks like she once read an instruction pamphlet on eyelash extensions and considered herself ready for business.
I used to work with a girl who had fake eye lash extensions. i didnt have the heart to tell her they made her look like fat spider legs sticking out of her eyes. she got medium length and they looked very fake and as if they were six inches long. im sure they would have looked better in small. but whatevs. its hard to find a good place i guess! she paid $25 for it and believe me they made her look very cheap. tacky even
Well first of all, 60-65$ is extremely cheap. So no way that the person add professional training, good products and insurence! Second, I suggest that you ask to see the person's diploma next time or ask where they got there training.
Like any beauty service; always ask yourself questions when the prices are very low compared to good reputation spa's. A full set usually takes 3h to intall. Also always ask what are there sanitisation process is before starting any service.
You did not get a true set of eyelash extensions. A properly applied set costs about $200 dollars. The application is comfortable, they extensions look natural and you do not feel that you have them on.

I just had my done yesterday and I had a bad experience too! Mine look like spider legs, as well. She put a bunch of individual lashes on one lash and they started clumping together and looked like a eyelash-dreadlocks. It is so hard to take them off. Overall, I have the same problem as you except it's the opposite. :( Should I call the salon and get a refund? Ugh, so angry.

hi dear, i'd just like to say that the lady who did those extention wasn't trained enough, neither has the beauty vision. i'm a make up artist and i do lash extention as well, and that's not how the result should be. my advice is, try to see how proffesional the one who will instal the lashes by the " investigation" done before the procedure, such as: what is ur expectations? how would u like ur lashes to look like? taking in consideration the sape of the eye and personality as well.
I am an eyelash technician and this is not how they should be, a pad or tape should always be used to seperate the bottom lashes. the woman who did these should not be allowed near anyones eyes. They are horrendous!!!!!!

Yes, I do agree with you, your eyelashes looked way more natural before, and you showed the after, and it all looked very fake. It was a very bad application, looks like some of them were squeezed too hard with the tweezers and it seemed crimped. She should have put a piece of tape on your bottom lashes to keep your top lashes from sticking and causing that problem, I'll bet it hurt though!
It is unfortunate that you had such a horrible experience, however, some times you get what you pay for. Your lashes were done from a very inexperienced technician; a good application would have been absolutely seamless at the base, straight and clean. Lashes should never stick or clump together even weeks after. If it does, again it is a poor application. My recommendation, find a technician that has done over 150 applications. I do own my own lash lounge.Hope that helps and good luck to you!
Omg. Well recently like a week ago I paid nearly $100 for eye lash extensions ..beforehand they were actually long like they were nice, long thick just straight. (but i had them permed for the extension) I got them put in ..they were nice. HOWEVER a week later, the lashes started falling off and revealed my actual lashes. The person who put my lashes in actually cut my natural lashes ...to "blend" them in. So at this precise moment, my lower lashes are longer than my upper lashes. Fml.

You poor thing. I just had some done, and at a place where I'd actually gotten a recommendation, and I hate them. I had to go back less than 48 hours later as I had obvious bald spots, and now (6 days later) they're starting to hurt because it's become apparent they she glued two of my lashes to one of the extensions. Shame on these people for doing this! And I paid $100 for mine, in Geelong (near Melbourne).

Oh My. I'm so sorry and I'm not laughing. Nothing is funny about what happened to you. I sympathize with you because my first eyelash extension was with someone who had no idea what she was doing and I had to go to the person I see now to get it fixed. You are right. The glue & lashes don't go on your skin and the way she applied them was unhygienic and could prove damaging to your eye and lashes. I have Xtreme Lashes. I won't go with anything else at this stage.

You poor thing. ur experience TOTALLY reminded me of my first time. I met this girl through a friend of mine & she assured me she did TONS of extensions before & knew what she was doing, plus she was going to save me money so i decided to let her do my first trtmntt. Not only were my lashes botched, my eyes got infected as she got the surgical glue IN MY EYE!!! it was blood shot red for an ENTIRE week. It wasn't until I found Sharon, my current last specialist & she corrected them. GOOD LUCK!

I have got extensions before.... I can say that one eye should have about 50,60 eyelashes so about 120 together.... u have on each eye about 10,15 (should be 50,60) omg....this is not normal...
at first i thought u may have been overreactiong cause from a distance cant tell much....but as u did the close up definitely not normal and looks unprofessional. U should really mention the place name on ur video to avoid others from undergoing the same nightmare....u really pretty btw......

I am so sorry to see that there are so many crappy people doing something like that. Just a suggestion-ask them photos before you go it usually helps.

Of course you are in the right! What an awful person she must be,to pretend like you were being difficult! I use flairs, but still I've used singles before, and that looks horrible. I'm so sorry!

Ive had the same experience when i first got my lashes done here in melbourne australia at just lashes in docklands... it was horrible and the girl was extremely rude when i told her i wasnt satisfied with the way they turned out... that is not how they are suppose to look like!! try other places.. ask around for a good place word of mouth goes along way :) they can look really good if done correctly!!! I am happy with mine now my private hair dresser does them for only $60, r

the woman may just be ignorant .eyelash extensions if done right take alot of skill and time .the technician should always use protective eye pad the glue is dangerous if mis handled .but the glue is expensive and it sounds like they came off easy so she used the drugstore adhesive for individual lashes

it sounds like you got individual false eyelashes ...it cost about 200 us dollars for real eyelash extensions ! ..yours look like poor quality ... eyelash extensions are applied with medical grade adhesive which will not come off til you take it off with eyelash adhesive remover .most time eyelash extensions should be curled to match the curve of your natural lash .many women are confused about false eyelash individuals and eyelash extensions

Looks horrible, my dear. You need to go to a specialist in the field. I know how you feel. My eyelashes are like yours and it is very difficult to make them longer and fuller with mascara. I was thinking of extensions too.

She definitely did a bad job. Even if she's been doing eyelash extensions for "ten" years (and i don't believe that either) doing something the wrong way 1500 times doesn't make it any less wrong than the first time. It looks like she once read an instruction pamphlet on eyelash extensions and considered herself ready for business.

I used to work with a girl who had fake eye lash extensions. i didnt have the heart to tell her they made her look like fat spider legs sticking out of her eyes. she got medium length and they looked very fake and as if they were six inches long. im sure they would have looked better in small. but whatevs. its hard to find a good place i guess! she paid $25 for it and believe me they made her look very cheap. tacky even

Well first of all, 60-65$ is extremely cheap. So no way that the person add professional training, good products and insurence! Second, I suggest that you ask to see the person's diploma next time or ask where they got there training.
Like any beauty service; always ask yourself questions when the prices are very low compared to good reputation spa's. A full set usually takes 3h to intall. Also always ask what are there sanitisation process is before starting any service.

You did not get a true set of eyelash extensions. A properly applied set costs about $200 dollars. The application is comfortable, they extensions look natural and you do not feel that you have them on.

I just had my done yesterday and I had a bad experience too! Mine look like spider legs, as well. She put a bunch of individual lashes on one lash and they started clumping together and looked like a eyelash-dreadlocks. It is so hard to take them off. Overall, I have the same problem as you except it's the opposite. :( Should I call the salon and get a refund? Ugh, so angry.

hi dear, i'd just like to say that the lady who did those extention wasn't trained enough, neither has the beauty vision. i'm a make up artist and i do lash extention as well, and that's not how the result should be. my advice is, try to see how proffesional the one who will instal the lashes by the " investigation" done before the procedure, such as: what is ur expectations? how would u like ur lashes to look like? taking in consideration the sape of the eye and personality as well.

Yes, I do agree with you, your eyelashes looked way more natural before, and you showed the after, and it all looked very fake. It was a very bad application, looks like some of them were squeezed too hard with the tweezers and it seemed crimped. She should have put a piece of tape on your bottom lashes to keep your top lashes from sticking and causing that problem, I'll bet it hurt though!

It is unfortunate that you had such a horrible experience, however, some times you get what you pay for. Your lashes were done from a very inexperienced technician; a good application would have been absolutely seamless at the base, straight and clean. Lashes should never stick or clump together even weeks after. If it does, again it is a poor application. My recommendation, find a technician that has done over 150 applications. I do own my own lash lounge.Hope that helps and good luck to you!

Omg. Well recently like a week ago I paid nearly $100 for eye lash extensions ..beforehand they were actually long like they were nice, long thick just straight. (but i had them permed for the extension) I got them put in ..they were nice. HOWEVER a week later, the lashes started falling off and revealed my actual lashes. The person who put my lashes in actually cut my natural lashes ...to "blend" them in. So at this precise moment, my lower lashes are longer than my upper lashes. Fml.

Its easy for some corrupt people to steal photos off the internet, so its best to see results from a client of a better referred technician.
No! Your lashes shouldn't be able to be just plucked out like you just showed.
Can i suggest contacting the local Beauty College for a referral..

You poor thing. I just had some done, and at a place where I'd actually gotten a recommendation, and I hate them. I had to go back less than 48 hours later as I had obvious bald spots, and now (6 days later) they're starting to hurt because it's become apparent they she glued two of my lashes to one of the extensions. Shame on these people for doing this! And I paid $100 for mine, in Geelong (near Melbourne).

Oh My. I'm so sorry and I'm not laughing. Nothing is funny about what happened to you. I sympathize with you because my first eyelash extension was with someone who had no idea what she was doing and I had to go to the person I see now to get it fixed. You are right. The glue & lashes don't go on your skin and the way she applied them was unhygienic and could prove damaging to your eye and lashes. I have Xtreme Lashes. I won't go with anything else at this stage.

I met this girl through a friend of mine & she assured me she did TONS of extensions before & knew what she was doing, plus she was going to save me money so i decided to let her do my first trtmntt. Not only were my lashes botched, my eyes got infected as she got the surgical glue IN MY EYE!!! it was blood shot red for an ENTIRE week. It wasn't until I found Sharon, my current last specialist & she corrected them. GOOD LUCK!

I am so sorry to see that there are so many crappy people doing something like that. Just a suggestion-ask them photos before you go it usually helps.
