My male pekins I rescued from a local lake they had been dumped at were about to become fox food, they are good fertilizer factories but other than that they are complete fucking jerks that will stop at nothing to get at my chickens... I see roasts comming up.
I have two ducks. A male and a female, and I've had them for about two years now. The male is very very aggressive toward me now and will never let me near him. Has yours ever done that? Any advice?
@Bubbaist wow man thats old as, i used to have ducks to they wearrnt white ducks like yours, they were brown, we got them in 2001 and got rib of them 2003 because we got a dog in 2002 and didnt like the duck, so we brought them to a pond nea us..but now that you mentioned that they live for a long time, my old ducks might still be alive!
Hah more like rape :P We had two ducks nearly years ago that rapidly multiplied (13 total!) - They're fascinating creatures in larger groups. They formed three different "gangs" and each tried to maintain control of their section of the yard
Alarmingly though, they regularly participated in gang-raping eachothers females. I'm dead serious here, it's called 'rape flight' (search for it). A couple of them needed veterinary care due to broken wings and butt problems.
aww your female is getting destroyed by your male. one of the sad byproducts of duck reproduction...

@Sento35 Quacker is smalled and his beak is a little lighter and more yellow than orange. Quacker is about 15 years old! Old for a duck.
