I love both versions. Lets not beat down the 82 version though. Annie is supposed to have red CURLY hair. I give it two years until the remake starring f'ing Willow Smith comes out and you'll probably change your tunes about the 82 version. Alicia Morton is cute as a button as Annie though.

@123balletstar 1982 isn't bad... I kind of wish they could have gotten Bernadette Peters to reprise her role, although there was nothing wrong with Chenoweth. Although I think people generally favor 1982 is the better one because they "grew up with it," which is actually the opposite for me. I was nine when I saw this and fell in love with it, I saw the 1982 version years later and was like "wait...what?"

@cenationnumber1 well, in the Little Orphan Annie comic strip, she actually has that crazy curly red hair, lol. So Aileen (the 1982 Annie) resembled her closer. :) But Alicia (this Annie) was cute. At the end of the movie she does have her hair curled but it's not wild and crazy. I thought it looked really pretty like that.

You know what's so amazing about this scene? Study the last 80 or 90 seconds.. that is one continuous single camera shot that starts at ground level and winds up with an high wide shot. Incredible cinematography!
