Why do thai boxers and kickboxers for that matter lower and swing their arms when kicking? I know it gives better momentum but i just feel it least you open?
@djeq721 no um its like reverse balance... using ur other hand to guard urself while you swing the other arm for balance or you could easily get pushed off balance
just mostly hip movement dude, you turn your hips round as fast as possible and your leg follows. It's not how hard you throw your leg its how fast you can turn your hips. Takes time to get better, specially kicking in this sport can be hard to perfect I'm lucky to have a coach who's very precise with each movement and technique.
@tupacsomething69 Think of your leg as swinging a baseball bat and aim to go through your opponent , make sure you rotate your hips and also point your toes out. your foot on the ground is gonna be on the ball of your foot, Throw your knee up as high as you can then rotate your hips and foot with it remember swing through your opponent!! This kid on the video has got good technique break it down, you will get it! hope this helps!

thanks man, I dont like hitting pads really hard in the ring incase I slip haha also it was a demo for a school project last year since then my skills have improved if i do say so myself lol

All to do with mechanics dude. If you can get the technique down you'll kick harder its more to do with hip movement than leg.
