Nice effort, but I'll be honest, the first few seconds arent really nice, plus you dont seem to have control of your shapes, alot of ringing/not pressed well notes and john does use the hendrix grip, where the low E is kinda important, that string gives the chord more volume.

Again, awesome that you tried, its just not good enough im afraid :(

good instruction, im havin a little bit of trouble gettin the fingering right on that B cord i have trouble gettin my fourth finger on B on the D string and my third on F# on the A string, they wanna go on the other way around with pinky on the f# and ring on the B

i tryed playin the full bar with my index but that didnt seem to help any....and i cant seem to get the hammer on to sound with my ring finger....once i get that down i'll have it in the bag

In fact, it's amazing because he even plays the illustrative chord progression badly - every chord sounds incredibly dirty with tons of buzzing notes.
