To all my muslim brothers out there, I myself is a sikh from punjab. I love qawali and have seen the great Nusarat several times. Can I ask U one question? what is the believe of hardcore muslims like taliban, about this. Is it like they hate this type of music and masti. I am allso a big fan of Papu Sain the drummer. Is he allso one they would have executed because of music?

Taliban are not presenting true Islam, there belief is orthodox. Music in this scene (like Qwali) is allowed in Islam but the listener (muslim) must have ablution b4 he listen to Qwali....

but to spread islamic preachings in the world, GOD sent several prophets in the world. after HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H) there will be no prophet untill doomsday. (seal of prophet)

so for the time being several spritual personalities spread the the preaching of HAZRAT MUHAMMAD (P.B.U.H).

Seriously though Taliban (a misnomer as they are against scholarship) is an aspect of most societies where a small group cannot deal with complexity of our existence and desires simple solutions to difficult problems. Unfortunately all religion have such groups.
