That guy doesn't have a clue. Trucks will always be on our roads. And sorry to say this railroad take twice a long to get freight to a place than our 18 wheelin buddies out there on the road.
That's all they need is more trucks on the roads! give the business back to the railroads and open up more of the locks & dam systems! you can haul hundreds of times more with 1 train than 1 truck. People are well aware of gas/diesel prices today, just to name 1 thing. Use the trucks for shorter delivery and leave the across-the-country stuff to trains!
My grandpa used to be otr and my dad said this was kinda his anthemn cause ny granpa always called them everynite and there 3 kids like in the song
