  • It shouldn't take so long for your espresso to extract! It should be 25-30secs for double shot, therefore 50-60 seconds for 4 shots!

    An upside down caramel macchiato is silly. It's just a vanilla latte with caramel sauce on top. The whole point of the drink is that it's layered...every sip tastes different. When you make it upside down, you're mixing all of the flavors

  • yes, that would be the idea. Some of us think they taste good mixed together. :P

    Right side uppy ones are awesome too, no doubt, but the upside down ones are just something different, to change things up!

  • @hillaryperson Exactly! Why would you want it layered? Otherwise your first sip is just vanilla milk! Also Upside down makes it where the expresso melts the caramel.

  • @adamaliabarnes acctually I work at a Starbucks so I know how to make a Caramel macchiato! It's called a typo jerk! Not everyone watches their spelling like their life depends on it! So the ESPRESSO does melt the caramel if it is an upside down caramel macchiato. Just because you spell something wrong doesn't mean you don't know what your talking about.
