    Cris

  • Thanks Cris!

Mrs Ford and I are working as hard as we can on Peppy 28 which will be released officially on youtube September 11th, 2009. In the meantime we will be releasing a business video. Stay tuned my dear.

    Steve

  • the greater steve ford......STEVE FORD your high ness........many people will get benefit......

  • he is professor of English language only this is the best video my friend the Steeve, wish you luck in your classes

  • Hey I great video. I'm a Brazilian citizen and had also gone to Copacabana once. You guys should meet up Sao Paulo. That's the most beautiful country in Brazil. Believe my words... I'm not kidding.

  • I love this video, but I think you were not well guided by your friend Amanda. In Rio there are countless houses of shows. The Brazilian music is of high quality and a huge rhythm variety. Opera is a wonderful show but it is not of the most common for here. The fruits you could buy in a supermarket there is several in Copacabana. When you come to São Paulo it seeks me. I will have pleasure in to show the city for you and your wife. Thanks, teacher!

    Lilian Bianchi from Brasil

  • fascinating way of learning english, especially, when you're trying to show the examples, and also highlighting the main words

  • Hey Steve,

I've seen your this video so many days back and became your fan.

I noticed one thing in this video and today I wanna ask that:

When we write "You and are" together then it comes You're then we pronounce it "Your" or "You are"

In your video you are pronouncing it "Your"............Am I right ?

    Waiting for your response impulsively

    Bye

  • Thanks for the comment! A 'homonym' is one of a group of words that share the same spelling and the same pronunciation, but have different meanings like 'your' and ' you're', they're,their, there etc.

    Regards,

    Steve

  • Thanks Steve,

I was not asking about "Your" and "You're" I know their difference and their meaning as well!

My question was about Pronunciation of "You're"

Is the sound of "You're" and "Your" are same ?

  • you can say it as:

your=you're or you could say 'yer' which you can also hear a lot in American movies

  • Thanks alot Steve and thanks for your understanding :)

I really thankful to you because these days I've seen there are only few people who really care about others.

    You're awesome :)

  • steve-

I Decided to watch this to see how you teach a non-speaker english.

I am native to the english language, I speak the kings english but my friends speak ghetto english. You seem to be an effective teacher, good you teach people our language

    Best-

    Noah

  • Thanks for this funny, useful video! I love learning E this way so much.

    =Paulo From Brasil.

    alvinchiew1 from Malaysia

  • Hey Steve!

It has been your best video posted here! I really enjoyed it.

I´ve got a question: ''Make out'' might be

    '' Have sex'' ?

I saw it in a magazine : Top Model were making out in the car with her boyfriend.

    Am I correct?

    Thanks for the video!

    Alberto from BRAZIL

  • Hi Alberto! It's great to clear up your doubt about the phrasal verb 'make out'. Yes, you are totally right! Make out has soooo many meanings and for sure the one you mentioned is one of them!

    Have a great day!

  • Hi Steve, but is there a essential meaning to use "make" in order to describe differents behaivors??

  • nice video ",

  • 'After the fight, they kiss and make up!' what a lovely couple!

  • i like the fruit part

  • a pay phone ? wtf is that lol jk but it has been like years since i have used a payphone ...do payphones use credit cards ? lol

  • (A) Muito obrigado por esse video, ele me ajudou muito.

    (b) spanish/ mucho agradcido/obligado por ese video, el me ayudo mucho.

    (c) much gratful'obligated for that video, it assisted me greatly.

  • Thanks again for this amazing video, Steve. You're doing a great job and helping many of us! Thanks a lot!!!!

  • Perhaps that was the first sentence you learned, egkg75.

The first sentence I learned was 'What are the necessary procedures involved in order to have my PhD transcripts evaluated ?'

  • egkg75, are you trying to imply that all immigrants are coming to the US just to take advantage of the system? If so, I have a question for you: what system? America is bankrupt, my friend. Maybe you're the only one that can't see that. That's why many over qualified hard workers that immigrated to the US are flying to Dubai!

  • Hello Steve!!! thank you so much for your videos, they are too much helpful and I´ve been learning with all of them!!! Thanks!

  • I loved this video Steve, tell me something, do you and your wife speak Portuguese? The Portuguese accent of your wife is so good.

Muito obrigado por esse video Steve, ele me ajudou muito. :)

  • Yeah Lothar, I can understand your troubles, they are people who can't get things at once, and nothing to do about it :) (about the lack of sense of humor also). As for this video - it's too much information there, maybe just to watch it again? Btw, have you watched the previous two "Steve in Brazil"?This could help you, for sure.

  • Man, you really don't get it, do you? Can you do better than Steve? I don't think so. These videos that he so generously makes to help us are great! We are all very grateful for Steve's effort and I hope that you change your mind after watching more of his videos. As I always say, don't be so quick to judge if you can't do any better.

  • Before posting here, I was wondering if there is enough words to thank Steve for that excellent job, I don't think so. As usual, this video is PERFECT... Thank you very very much. =]

  • wonderful!!!!

    love it so much!

    warm as Brazil!!!

    beijos!

    Luciana

  • Wow!!!! u are really tremendous teacher ,thank u so much for ur nice comments ,u are always the best forever :))

We are looking forward to more videos:))

    Have a nice day:))

  • well, Needless to say this video is awesome. not only this one but also the others as well. Steve, I really look up to you and I'm nuts about your video lessons. I have been learning lots of things through all these videos.

    Thanks a bunch.

  • good!!! thanks!

  • Farei o mesmo...

Cara muito bacana e divertido seu método de ensino, facil de assimilar!

E esse video em especial foi muito divertido! PARABÉNS, pelo excelente trabalho de vcs e sua iniciativa!!!

I hope you understand this post, but anyway if you don´t, Leda translates it for you!

    Thank you and Congratulations!!!

  • I could leave my message in English but, different of everyone, I'm gonna leave it in Portuguese in tribute to Amanda (Leda Ford - the Steave's wife):

Parabéns Steave! Seu método é simplesmente espetacular e o contexto utilizado nesse vídeo, tendo o Brasil (Copacabana - RJ) como pano de fundo, foi incrível.

Confesso que os "phrasal verbs" são bem difíceis de serem assimilados. Mas com os seus vídeos e métodos utilizados, têm sido mais fácil e divertido aprender inglês.

  • Glad to see you again, Steve. The video is really helpful and wonderful. Thanks. By the way, your wife is so beautiful! Wish you happy everyday.

  • Great work Steve....caryy on man..

  • Hello Everybody! I want to thank you so much for all the wonderful comments! I am working hard on new videos and more quizzes to help you learn all of the new phrasal verbs and vocabulary from this video!!!

  • Good to know. We are wating on pins and needles for more of your magnificent videos!
