lifeinagame did make a point here which is we havent done enough and we need to catch up in terms of innovation but our country is going the right direction now in terms of economy. with money and people, i have no reason to believe we wont surpass any country technoloywise. just a matter of time.

Yes, China imported high speed trains from Japan, German and France. But at the sametime, it bought the technology as well. Finanlly, China came up with its own trains, which is 100% made in China. On the future Beijing-Shanghai high speed railways, you will only high speed trains made in China.
