Even if SLR guy reached earlier then the other two guys, but he's in loss:

1. He must have spent much more on fueling/maitenance after this trip on this car compared to guys who took the plane.

2. Long routes on car suck, no matter how comfortable it is. You are still concentrated on the road and this makes u tired at the end of the day.

No doubt this is super fast amazing car which gives u the best feel being inside and accelerating but don't buy me on using this for long route journeys.

What I do remember though is ALL SLRs are built in Surrey, England. Therefore, it's an English car, conceived by Germans. But it's English in reality.

i think that might be a little unfair to say the bbc incorrectly advertise it. it has absolutely moved on from a soley factual program to an enterainment program with "some" facts (and mostly the hosts' opinions on cars which although sometimes funny i completely disagree with!) but the point is that is how it is marketed. it is just supposed to be fun and on a number of occasions jc has himself said these races are scripted to be close during programming. its all a bit of fun!
