On this song how do you get the effect as I have as I have the same guitar and just putting it through a HH pa at the minute, but cant get that raw sound, wondered if I was doing something wrong, thanks.
I don't know how I could advice you to make your sound, but I just used the smallest VOX amp called DA5, and some overdrive and some reverb are all I did use here.
I used to play in the band when I was young, but not now.
I use the smallest VOX amp, called DA5 for my YouTube videos, and the effector settings for this one dialled some distortion and a little bit echo, both installed in the amp. :-)
Many thanks for your comment, greg. Yes, I also grew up with all those Weller stuff for 30 years! Must be brilliant to share the same experience with someone else like you. :-)
THIS MORE LIKE IT STANHOPEPLACE!! From the DIG THE NEW BREED LIVE album, but of course originally SETTING SONS...My favourite JAM album! get in there my son.
Great job! I'll be looking for the tab so I can play. Unfortunately I don't have a Ric. :(

Great one, even got the harmonics in :)
Private Hell was the first song I learnt on the guitar mainly as it is mostly Em7 which is the first chord I learnt to play - many years ago.
Nice to see it played better by your good self!!
I check youtube twice a day now for new renditions. How sad is that :)
Five stars.
