Dear Blizzard,

Please:

1. Don't remove Frozen Orb from the Wizard class ..... I SOOO wanted to see it in DIablo III

2. Don't use the cooltime system on skills ..... that just makes it too "WOW". We don't want another WOW, we want a next Diablo. Especially on Nova, cooltime just ruins it. I would NEVER use Nova with a cooltime. You see ? You're ruining the efficiency of skills with cooltime, it's not worth the attempt of trying to make us use other skills instead.

Besides, even without cooltime there were plenty of dynamic sorceresses in Diablo II LOD, who specialize in very different skills of all skill tree levels ..... I really don't see the use of introducing cooltime beside trying to follow a meaningless trend in MMORPG, which really isn't that very smart at all, in my opinion, since you're creating the follow-up of a completely new game with a very different genre. Diablo's key point is its fast and simple pace, not waiting for cooltimes.

@realspkim1 Ah, but there are many spells in Diablo 2 with pretty long cooldown. For example Cloak of Shadows = more than 8 seconds long cd, or Shadow Master = 6 seconds cooldown, Hurricane = 6 seconds, Volcano = 4 seconds and list goes on.

Smaller spells also have cooldown, but it's smaller ( 0.6 - 2 seconds )

In Diablo 3, cooldowns will follow pretty much the same pattern. It's nothing new nor different in relation to Diablo 2.

@haywoodflamer Blizzard keeps all that info under tight wraps (little fyi, the past 2 diablos were released on June 29th, so my guess is next year, especially since they are just now getting into talks for a console version, specifically "the best one out there" which as of right now with kinects, I'm assuming it is xbox, if it's a kinects game, I just jizzed my pants and that's hard for a girl to do! lol)

I assume again that if it's kinects ready, it will also be able to be played using a controller or maybe an xbox keyboard?

The class and skills look fun but I don't think the graphics will stand the test of time compared to Diablo 2 LOD. They just don't seem as fitting and the mobs look fairly "cut & paste" even more-so than D2 which was made a decade ago. All in all it is worth buying but I doubt I will enjoy it as much as D2 and have moerate hopes.

That first spell is probably the Ball Lightning trait really, which activates periodically. I believe Storm Armor actually releases charged bolts when you get hit. You can see them in the first wizard gameplay video released by Blizzard.

@kimagg Yes, it could possibly be a trait ( as we pointed out at the end of the video ). Ball of Lightning however does not activate on hit.

and yes, you can't use more than 7 skills in actual game. This is a demo and demo gameplay is always tweaked for special events like BlizzCon, so it's not hard to imagine Wizard being buffed with Storm Armor for this particular demo ( for balance or pure awesomeness ). No other skill nor trait fits into this effect design and mechanics.
