I've played almost all Zelda games except for the one's made by Capcom and I got to say this one is probably the easiest one of them all. They really dumbed this one down.
@99percentatheist well its kind of like 1999 mode in bioshock infinite. It's only avaliable after you beat the game once and then you have the option of doing it. Basically, enemies are harder, those flower heart things almost never show up (and really almost all hearts for that matter, and I also think the stamina gauge decreases even more rapidly. And perhaps there aren't any stamina fruits? Either way it's more difficult.

if you read last months game informer about skyward sword youd understand it alot more, there are many many sky islands. also theres a large amount of land below the clouds. this map is larger than any previous one. it has a sky world similar to wind waker's oceans. its large, vast, and takes time to get from place to place. but with the addition of the "birds" the travel is not as time consuming. any more info wanted look me up, id be willing to right an entire "pre" game release review :D

PS Move is far more accurate in reguards to motion control gaming, what it can/can't read.. that being said, it is still a failed game mechanic and am very happy I never bought one. I have used Wii Motion Plus before, so I know exactly what it's going to feel like.. and it's going to be a failed game mechanic. Nintendo needs to get off their asses, and make it so future big name titles can be played with a classic controller.

I liked Twilight Princess's darkness more. Majora's Mask and Twilight Princess are my favorite Zelda games. But Ocarina of time was a big evolution for Zelda.

The game looks great, and I'd really love to experience the next expansion of the Zelda legend, but I am hesitant to get a motion control system or one where I have to recharge my controllers every few days. I'm going to make my decision on getting a Wii after the release of this game.

No. They messed up, and have started to alienate their core audience.

Anyone else noticing all the diamonds in the game? On Phi's chest, on Zelda's chest, on the old man's chest, and on Link's sword. Girahim has a red one. The rest are blue. Also, the Master Sword has always had a diamond just like the ones seem here.
My analysis is that the big guy in the demo of the bird gameplay will turn into ganondorf, I mean c'mon he has RED hair, BLACK bird, is a big guy and a weird school mate of Link & Zelda, does that tell u something? Late at night he'll meet link out somewhere and duel him. He will lose and you will have gotten a tutorial. You won't meet him for a few dungeons. But after that he will make repetitive appearences, summoning bosses and aiding them. He will be a super hard optional boss and bitter rival. He will fall into the darkness but eventually help link with (CONTINUED)...
@Takerockr (CONTINUED) his quest to find the princess by giving him armor. He will also return to his first state (after obviously being changed into a badass dark dude) and say he's "sorry" The first village will forgive him. And link will leave, once again, in search of the princess.
That's just what i would hope for. Exept handled far better than i do it in the coments.
BUt then again, this is just speculation.
And is highly unlikely.

Why do I keep hearing "Majora's Mask dimension"?? Majora's Mask is a direct sequel to Ocarina of Time not a different timeline. Its literally based a few months after the end of OoT
@mikue666 I'm not completely sure about all this, but I know you're right about it being a direct sequal, but I've also heard that Termina is a whole different dimension from Hyrule.
@Ec547 Well Termina is a different land on whatever world or planet they live on in the Zelda series. Like America compared to England but instead of crossing an ocean you would travel through the Lost Woods. Also I know there is a timeline split in OoT but its completely weird becuase how would Ganondorf get locked away in the Sacred Realm in the past as well? But that is something for Miyamoto to explain and not for our speculation

Thinking on it I haven't seen anything resmbling the Oocca because Shad said acorriding to legend there were meant to of created the hylains and they do live in the sky. Also that new race that live near the volcano could there be some sort of goron ancerstores?
His relationship with Zelda in the beginning really reminds me of the relationship he had with her in Minish Cap. She was more care free in that one as well.
And as for the wooden shield, if it's like Twilight Princess you might be able to switch between shields, so I'm not really surprised that he's still using one..and seeing as you probably get the heros clothes in the beginning of the game it's not too strange to see him with a wooden shield. Haha.

Has anybody noticed that the old man's eyebrows, moustache and goatee are in the shape of the bird from the Hylian Shield? Also, in the part of the video with the 6-legged lava monster - where in the Zelda series do I recognise the statues either side of the room? They kinda look a bit like Pig Ganon but I'm sure that's not where I recognise them from.
Stylized is basically the opposite of photorealism, which Twilight Princess used as far as textures go (character design, as always with Zelda, was still stylized). As far as sharpening everything, that would involve anti-aliasing which the Wii is not powerful enough to do very well. Even the X-Box and PS3 use minimal AA in games. You'll see it used well is Smash Bros and Super Mario Galaxy, but Zelda uses too many resources to waste any on AA. The framerate would take a huge hit.

@chronoisworking It's actually not cel-shaded at all - cel-shading is a graphical process and style but this is purely made just like any other Zelda game except the textures are like impressionist art and more pastel like. It actually really suits the game and it's not all as soft as it looks (to HIKAJO) its just the video quality - I hate how people are judgemental about these things, realism isn't important.
Don't forget about Xenoblade, Last Story and Pandora's Tower as well guys. Go to Nintendo's channel and ask for it. The Wii deserves a nice swan song. Skyward Sword and 3 RPGs is perfect to end this gen of Nintendo.

His relationship with Zelda in the beginning really reminds me of the relationship he had with her in Minish Cap. She was more care free in that one as well.
And as for the wooden shield, if it's like Twilight Princess you might be able to switch between shields, so I'm not really surprised that he's still using one..and seeing as you probably get the heros clothes in the beginning of the game it's not too strange to see him with a wooden shield. Haha.

@darkenwarrior unfortuantely I think that's only a demo. Remember when they made something similar to this for the gamecube? Remember what we ACTUALLY got? (wind waker) yeah, sorry if I crush some of your spirits, but this is just a heads up. Don't get me wrong WW is a greeeat game too (the first LOZ game I've every played)

To tell you the truth, I hope that Ganondorf isn't in this game. Cause in Wind Waker he's really creepy, and in Twilight Princess, he's really weird, and in Ocarina of Time, he's just plain scary. We haven't seen a new villan since Spirit Tracks. (well accually that game was made in 2008 before this one) So I wanna see this new guy the big boss of the game.

@CynderFanClub Nintendo confirmed ganondorf isnt going to be in skyward sword. But it was obvious, he was only a mortal in ocarina of time (and in that game's where he gets the triforce) and this is way before Ocarina of time so there was no way for him to exist.
There could still be a previous king of darkness, in the early games he was the prince of darkness and now hes the king. Gotta have a dad

Has anybody noticed that the old man's eyebrows, moustache and goatee are in the shape of the bird from the Hylian Shield? Also, in the part of the video with the 6-legged lava monster - where in the Zelda series do I recognise the statues either side of the room? They kinda look a bit like Pig Ganon but I'm sure that's not where I recognise them from.

Stylized is basically the opposite of photorealism, which Twilight Princess used as far as textures go (character design, as always with Zelda, was still stylized). As far as sharpening everything, that would involve anti-aliasing which the Wii is not powerful enough to do very well. Even the X-Box and PS3 use minimal AA in games. You'll see it used well is Smash Bros and Super Mario Galaxy, but Zelda uses too many resources to waste any on AA. The framerate would take a huge hit.

@chronoisworking It's actually not cel-shaded at all - cel-shading is a graphical process and style but this is purely made just like any other Zelda game except the textures are like impressionist art and more pastel like. It actually really suits the game and it's not all as soft as it looks (to HIKAJO) its just the video quality - I hate how people are judgemental about these things, realism isn't important.

Don't forget about Xenoblade, Last Story and Pandora's Tower as well guys. Go to Nintendo's channel and ask for it. The Wii deserves a nice swan song. Skyward Sword and 3 RPGs is perfect to end this gen of Nintendo.
