Avoiding the war in Vietnam proves just how intelligent Clinton was evan back then. He was improvident to the fact that war was a bunch of BS over a word called "communism" with the possibility of Russian influence that came out to be false. 58,000 Americans died for what. The real sad thing is, we are trading with the vietnamese today and communism didn't spread.

If that is your interpretation, you obviously voted for Bush. In both '92 and '04, Democrats nominated someone that took a stand against the war in Vietnam. Their folly in nominating Kerry was in picking a "war hero" candidate they THOUGHT Republicans wouldn't dare criticize. Our bad.

The Right screamed Holy Hell because the ad basically straight-out accuses President Bush of "desertion", a crime punishable by death. "So unless MoveOn is suggesting that President Bush should be tried for desertion and executed, they should pull their ad."

MoveOn did NOT buckle to the pressure, but broadcasters did, refusing to run the ad, forcing MoveOn to pull it. But in compromise, the Swiftboat ads were pulled soon after.
