I enjoyed this film, Richard. The musical embellishment was an artful touch to showcasing some splendid close-ups of several species of local butterflies. ;-)
Nice shots Richard - finally managed to see my first Purple Emperor last weekend nicely sitting on the ground - and where was the camera? - yup, at home!
Splendid !

I Know the feeling, it is frustrating, I try to photograph these early morning when they are a bit torpid they and less likely to fly off.
Many thanks Richard

Beautiful. There were loads that I didn't know. We seem to have cabbage whites and Red Admirals and that's about it!
Thanks for sharing. :)

Thank you,
The first is a Green Hairstreak, then a Skipper, Comma, Painted lady, Red admiral,
Peacock, Comma and Meadow brown?,
Then a Six spot Burnet Moth then finally Holly blues.
It is unfortunate but the further North you go the less species you get, but the species are more specialised,
my theory any way
Best wishes Richard
