  • Comment removed

  • Entourage brought me here<3

  • what song is this riff originally from? Does anyone know? It doesn't say it in the cd book, cause my mom has this cd from back in the day, but i remember this song and riff is good.

  • @downfan1 Steppenwolf "the Pusher" & the drums are from Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks"

  • @ClarenceBoddicker87

Yes that's right ... the first time I heard the song begins I was kind of surprised that they were playing "The Pusher" !

  • never has a riff been so solidly stolen :)

  • one of the best songs of the '90s. i love it. thanx for posting

  • One of my favorites --- FAT

  • needs way more recognition ....

  • good song....many thanks

  • Great song;.

  • One of my faves by Neneh Cherry love u girl

  • KRS does the rap on Radio Song and Michael Stipe does the rap on this song.

  • Another instance where I basically support the issue being propagated but find the propaganda self righteous and annoying. Actually, kids don't need to be taught sex in school. It just helps sometimes, especially when the kid is mindbogglingly ignorant.

  • @FuguGoulash Kids need to learn biology in school and learn about the consequences of their actions from their parents.

  • @FuguGoulash Remember this song is from 1992 - things have changed a lot since then

  • yes, yes, yes! classic!

  • I loved this when it came out - and I love it just as much now - u no people it's just as relevant!

  • damn i haven't heard this in so long...MAJOR flashback

  • Neneh Cherry is amazing, but the combination of her and Michael Stipe makes this track mind blowing.

  • Wow, haven't heard this in 17 years!

  • This ain't too bad. I dig the Steppenwolf sample. Still, It's nowhere near as good as the original song.

  • I think Michael Stipe has this uncanny ability to blend Alternative Rock with Alternative Hip-Hop in such a powerful way, its just amazing. Fantastic song. I mean, leave it to Michael Stipe (one of the founders of Alt-rock) to reinvent the genre.

  • Couldn't have said it better myself RobH0421

  • I too love Neneh Cherry. However; if anyone out there has the means to know or provide her tune called " Red Paint"; plleeeasssse hook-up a sister with this song! I've been trying to find it only forever (and of course) no one seems to have heard of this sister. Peace

  • Steppenwolf -The Pusher only with different lyrics.

  • she was ( and still should be ) GREAT . So out there, innovative, sassy, classy etc. this track is no exception catching ole Stipey when he was top of the class.

Could anyone write a song like this today? Don't hold yer breath...

  • I remember hearing this song way back in the day and somehow getting it recorded onto a cassette one night listening to the radio but for over a decade I never knew who it was or what it was called and no-one seemed to know what i was talking abount ..... I was wrapped when i found it agin about 5 years ago when somone was playing some neneh and i wa slike omg i love this chick.... and she does this song too!?.. AWESOME!!! thank you for posting it... now i can find the album! :)

    0.,.,,kmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,She's lovin THIS m

  • thank you so much for posting this! quite possibly one of the best, and most overlooked, songs of the 90's

  • I've been looking for this song everywhere!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting it!!! This song will always be relative, as long as there are equality and social issues plaguing the USA.

  • I love all of your comments...Neenah really busted out the early 90's with awesome songs like this. I kind of remember a video for this song jazzfish07, but can't be 100% sure. I love the vid for Buffalo Stance though, Neenah was so freaking cute. Her smile is 1,000 volt.

  • The only other thing I knew she did was 7 seconds with Yossou N'dor. Never heard of her otherwise.

  • I am SO glad to find that some good-hearted, musically-learned soul has put this overlooked classic up here for us to enjoy! Thank you, thank you, thank you...

  • This was an awesome duet for its time and tune remains relatively unknown to this day; a cult classic in my book. Thanks for posting!!

  • i always thought this would go great on a skateboard vid

  • Another great song from Neneh that got very little airplay.

  • Hello John Bonham (at 1:40).

  • @raremusicman Yep, the drumbeat is borrowed from Zep's "When the Levee Breaks"

  • 1992

  • Did a real video for this song ever exist? Anybody know?

  • The pusher man

  • Cool!
