I like this song, but I can't help feeling like it's too preachy. It gives the idea that the ONLY thing a mother prays about is her daughter marrying a good man. That was probably not the songwriters' intent but it's just so old fashioned. I always think of a mother in a bonnet and corset telling her daughter to find the "right" husband when I hear this song.

I'm only fourteen and when I get married I have made the disitoun that insted of a father doughter dance imma have a mother doughter dance because my mom is my world my dad moved to Florida and I don't talk to him my mom will walk me down the isle
