I know the subs seem scary fast--I almost quit half-way through episode 1--but don't feel inadequate! Soldier through, don't worry if you don't catch everything, and know that a lot of the fast dialogue gets repeated in each parallel memory-verse so you may get a second chance. Plus, I think reading fast subtitles gets easier once you become accustomed to the rhythm of this particular show. Try, try again! ^_^

YES, finally! After seeing the art work on AKFG's album covers, I can now appreciate, Yusuke Nakamura work as a "come to life," sort of speak, art. I've been a fan of AKFG and their album covers for quite some time. I'm glad Yusuke Nakamura decided to lend his artistic talent to an animated series. Absolutely stunning visuals =) And I do agree with most that the diologue is way too fast for subtitles, but oh well, I'm still enjoying the series so far =)

I love this show but I wish they had invested in another 2-3 minutes of airtime per episode to slow down the dialogue. The first time I watched it I was so busy trying to keep track of what was being said I couldn't appreciate the artwork and the surreal imagery injected throughout.

Naw dude, the fast pacing is what makes this show what it is. It wouldn't be the same. It's SUPPOSED to go really fast, so fast it's kinda hard to follow. That's part of what makes the show what it is. If they slowed it down, the entire quality of the series would sharply decline. If you can't read fast enough, that's kinda your fault dude. Maybe try one of those speed reading programs on bittorrent?

No. English dub would be harder to understand than subbed. It's supposed to be super fast paced and hard to follow. Learn to read faster or something, don't insist the anime should be ruined because of your own failure. If it wasn't fast paced it woudn't be nearly as good. This isn't an anime for wimps, it's hardcore. Sounds to me like this one's too advanced for ya.

You will probably have to pause sometimes during your first viewing of these episodes, but you should rewatch them as well. Masaaki Yuasa is known for being complicated but interesting. Check out his earlier animes (Mind Game, Kaiba) which I have hosted on my account.
