we are all commenting on either the boobs, the horrendous voice acting or how bad ass Wesker is. But what about the cool music?? You dont hear Synthesizer Organs and synth voices like that in games anymore! It was like the end of that period for games. Like it has that Zelda sound to it. You know some 90's video game that cant afford a studio orchestra.
I'm getting Code Veronica HD on Ps3 now, it seems better than i thought, I got Resident Evil 4, but this game seems to be more emotional, has a better story and it's classic zombies again. Wat are u guys opinions, wats better RE4 or RE:CVX?
@Nemesis2459 lots of people cuss up the old games either because they got tired of the old gameplay or due to startin at re4 or 5. ill be as neutral as i can. if u want an advanced shooter get re4. if u want a timeless classic with more heart and soul into the story and characters get cvx. cvx is the best in the series.

I'm sure they'll go back to the old ways, great idea, resident evil in space or on the moon omg! jk. Nah I'd like one where u spend a lot of time in the labs, they're always my fav areas in RE. And they should also add AI into the game like The Red Queen from the first movie.
An awesome soundtrack for such an awesome cutscene! It's a shame that this fight wasn't so long, I think they would've a fair match. This is my favorite RE, it has a great plot and great characters (Chris, Claire, Wesker, Alfred 'n' Alexia Ashford) who add a whole mix of emotions to this game. It's a shame I can't download the HQ Remake version of this because I would have play this again without any hesitation! Thanks for upload this great song!
To all people who responded to me: I apologize for my comment on capcom not remaking RE4 and Code Veronica. I did not know because I'm not on internet a lot. I know that they are making a Mercenaries game for Nintendo 3D.
Spoiler: The fight between Alexia and Wesker only happens in CODE VERONICA X. In the original CV, the one released for DREAMCAST, Wesker scapes cowardly after realizing that he is no match for alexia.

everytime i see people talking about how re5 isnt as scary as the old ones i think"no shit" back when the first games came out the main characters were like "WTF ARE THESE THINGS AAAAAAAAH" now their like "oh look its an enemy *snaps neck* ok next?" they got use to it and maybe thats why they aren't scary as much as action packed? u wont be scared of the same mindless kinda human enemy as u use to be wen u first seen it >.>
I really love this TRACK a lot it's so beautiful on so many levels. This was not only the greatest Resident Evil Game next to 2, but it was one of the greatest for PS2 PERIOD! Capcom should not have strayed away from what was going on with Code Veronica. Why is it always like that, when corporate companies are on to something, they NEVER stick with it! Must be the idiots at the TOP. :-(
Sure, some people prefer the old style of gameplay better, and I respect that. But some people say the new games suck just because Capcom decided to try new things with the gameplay of the series, and I personally think that its highly unfair to judge a game like that just because it has some things that are different than what their predecessors had, especially if they're still good. I still got scares from even RE4, and the gameplay in that game is WAY different than the ones in the classics.
@JwayT I wouldn't mind of Capcom did that at all, just as long as its in good quality of course ;D And I think it'd also be nice if they released only one version of it and just have downloadable content, so we don't have to go through the trouble of having to buy another version of the same game just to get our hands on only a few new features XD
@Alikhan219 Ah. Well, we all have our opinions on what we call scary. What might make one person piss their pants will probably not make another person even flinch :P I know it takes a bit of effort to usually scare me in a video game, but I still found RE5 to be enjoyable in some areas. Who knows, maybe Revelations will be able to satisfy most people's desires in what they wish to see in a RE game (Good quality horror, along with good quality game play)?
RE was always a great, even to this day. The series has a pretty decent and interesting plot, likable characters (I call Barry likable because he invented the best food ever, AKA "Jill Sandwiches". Also, Leon and Wesker are full of win), a large variety of intimidating monsters, viral & parasitic agents, good gameplay (both in the classics & current games), etc. I personally don't see why people say the new games suck. They're loyal to the overall story, and are fun to play, like the classics.

Coen vs Wesker Child Survivor - Resident Evil 6 - Takes place in vietnam - Wesker attempts to plauge all of the deprived villages with the T-Virus mutation while Coen work's at a local medical office to help repent for his past sins (or to make peace with the memories of the murdering of the innocent). It could be a one man survival horror game that mixes the best 3rd person shooting with survival tactics / beefed up melee combat / massive puzzle solving / epic story.
Coen never murdered anyone, he was against the slaughtering of the village where he was sent to infiltrate, it was the higher ups that told the other ones to slaughter the innocent. Coen was knocked down from a hit from the butt of a rifle and he was on the ground. He was charged with a false accusation of 'Murder' and disobeying a superior officers commands.
@SephirothsQueen777 I know, he was basically disobeying orders, and anyone in the army/military in general would know there are rules about that shit. Basically it would be a story about "One mans guilt" though he really didn't do anything himself - he might feel bad that he didn't do more to stop or prevent the senseless death. You know there ARE tons of random supporters trying to help people now, might as well involve umbrella and Billy =D!

thts in 5 witch sucked this was the last resident evil in my eyes cuz it pretty much died after this n turned into an action shooter game instead of a strategy game :|
I don't really know if I want this game. I have heard that this was good but I don't want to spend my money on a game I may not like. At least the music is pretty good.
In my opinion this was the best Resident evil game followed by resident evil 2 , 5 for me was the worst was not your usual resident evil survival horror it was an action game so although so was re4 but that was a far better game than 5 as it did have its scary moments
in resident evil CV, wesker was fighting alexia and retreated, but on re 5 he was practicly invincalble, no 1 could touch him. i wonder if alexia was still alive and then came 2 the re 5 wesker and they fought, then wesker would definetly win
Resident Evil 3 was not a filler at all. Showed much about Racoon City. And its aftermath. Give an introduction to the Great sample of Nemesis. Give much detail of Nicolai. Which later he had done soo much trouble. He is a rival of Hunk by the way. And he escaped Racoon City aswell. He ordered some packages from Racoon City. With a Jet. The Ending Of Outbreak.
He dint actually died. Renember on the last part of Outbreak. That was after Raccon City was bombed. He was on a Jet! After all he dint died when Jill shot him on the Helicopter.
I played resident evil, 1,2 and 3 on ps1. They are fuckin' great. For me Re3 and re2 are almost equal, but a very,very little preference for re3. Re1 is good but not so much at all. It is overrated because it's the first one.
you really need to play it, i bought a Dreamcast so i could play it and got this game the day it came out, i played through it again the other weekend its, better than Resident Evil and Resident Evil 4 in my opinion, its by far my favousite one, or maybe i just get a kick out of the English villians since they talk like me lol.
i admit i kinda like the story and music but, if i had to choose whats better,ill have to say the resident evil remake and RE4 is better,but only by a very thin line
i suppose it all depends which you play first eh, i played CV as soon as it came out on Dreamcast so it was the pinnacle of graphics and sound etc at the time i have the fondest memories of this and the original and 4, i dont rate 2 and 3 much
RE4 is a spinoff with a big name to cushion the fall in essence. RE is all about viral outbreaks with zombies and scary creatures, not angry Europeans and their pitchforks. Its like the failed TV show "Joey" from Friends lol. Same character, but we lost him in the transition.
RE4 is fun and all, but the only reference we hear about anything truly resident evil is in the beginning dialogue.

Resident evil 4 is not what the series lead up to, its just a detour with a number beside it, therefore there is nothing for me to deal with. A character return and a cool character don't make a Resident Evil story when they are involved with something pseudo Resident Evil. And wtf? You like RE but you don't like zombies?

I get what your saying but in essense resident evil is not just about zombies. It is about biohazard (hence the japanese name) outbreaks. Which includes other strains of viruses as well as the origins of the virus (what re4 is leading up to and re5 seems to be about).
i missed having the zombies but RE4 has earned it's spot as the second best RE game ( RE2 holds number 1 ) Resident Evil 4 introduced something new and terrifying things we haven't seen before it had alot of intensity and the story was very good setting up for Weskers master plan your just a damn RE4 hater
The graphics, soundtrack and characterization is awesome but the game is plagued with tons of boring and complicated puzzles and tough enemies. Sudden deaths are abundant and the game is very hard overall. Far from the balance of Resident Evil 1. It's a pity really because it could have been a very good game had it not been a marathon of puzzles with very hard enemies.
The soundtracks and creature design were alot better in the older games but gameplay wise the newer ones are so much better.

In my opinion this was the best Resident evil game followed by resident evil 2 , 5 for me was the worst was not your usual resident evil survival horror it was an action game so although so was re4 but that was a far better game than 5 as it did have its scary moments

in resident evil CV, wesker was fighting alexia and retreated, but on re 5 he was practicly invincalble, no 1 could touch him. i wonder if alexia was still alive and then came 2 the re 5 wesker and they fought, then wesker would definetly win

In order of shear greatness...
RE 0 - RE 1 (Remake) - RE 2 - RE 3 (I never really enjoyed 3..)
4 and 5 can't really be in the same category..They are different STYLES of gameplay, but they all have the same story.
As a SERIES they are very efficant at capturing BIOHAZARD and what its all about / keeping the story ON TRACK BUT FRESH at the same time.
Each game rules in its own way, so no need to be bias.
The franchise is awesome, one of the best, so bite my breast xD?

RE5 was fantastic to me honestly. I saw the review on Xplay and I've been trying to get them cancled for that bias shit.
RE5 is one of the greatest RE's with a fantastic story, great gameplay, good coop, and yeah..
Its far better than 4. And the story rocks.

If I had to rank the RE games in order of shear greatness..It would go like this.
(Considering I never played RECVX I'll exclude it)
RE 1 (GC Remake) - RE 0 (GC) - RE 5 (360) - RE 4 (GC) - RE 2 (64/PC)
What I'm hopeing for is that they decide to mix the Gears of War shooting style (a bit more advanced than RE5) with the current RE Saga.
Billy Coen should go down to Africa, then be lead to vietnam, tracking a massive Bio Weapon project which features the T-Virus and T-Veronica Virus.

Eh personally I thought RE3 was a bit over raited...
The game wasn't bad and it wasn't good to me.
The games I listed had the least amount of flaws to me, and had the best story.
RE3 felt like a filler.

Resident Evil 3 was not a filler at all. Showed much about Racoon City. And its aftermath. Give an introduction to the Great sample of Nemesis. Give much detail of Nicolai. Which later he had done soo much trouble. He is a rival of Hunk by the way. And he escaped Racoon City aswell. He ordered some packages from Racoon City. With a Jet. The Ending Of Outbreak.

He dint actually died. Renember on the last part of Outbreak. That was after Raccon City was bombed. He was on a Jet! After all he dint died when Jill shot him on the Helicopter.

I played resident evil, 1,2 and 3 on ps1. They are fuckin' great. For me Re3 and re2 are almost equal, but a very,very little preference for re3. Re1 is good but not so much at all. It is overrated because it's the first one.

RECV is way better than 4. Common.
RE4 is a spinoff with a big name to cushion the fall in essence. RE is all about viral outbreaks with zombies and scary creatures, not angry Europeans and their pitchforks. Its like the failed TV show "Joey" from Friends lol. Same character, but we lost him in the transition.
RE4 is fun and all, but the only reference we hear about anything truly resident evil is in the beginning dialogue.

Anyway,you know what i think,i think RE4 was to get more publicity for Resident Evil,some dont like the zombie/horror genre and if they played RE4,that would push them to buy other Resident Evils,it kinda did that to me

I get what your saying but in essense resident evil is not just about zombies. It is about biohazard (hence the japanese name) outbreaks. Which includes other strains of viruses as well as the origins of the virus (what re4 is leading up to and re5 seems to be about).

i missed having the zombies but RE4 has earned it's spot as the second best RE game ( RE2 holds number 1 ) Resident Evil 4 introduced something new and terrifying things we haven't seen before it had alot of intensity and the story was very good setting up for Weskers master plan your just a damn RE4 hater

The graphics, soundtrack and characterization is awesome but the game is plagued with tons of boring and complicated puzzles and tough enemies. Sudden deaths are abundant and the game is very hard overall. Far from the balance of Resident Evil 1. It's a pity really because it could have been a very good game had it not been a marathon of puzzles with very hard enemies.
