  • @alex240390 I AGREE WITH YOU, I WAS SPECTING SOMETHING REAL GYPSY MUSIC BUT.....

  • That is great, but it's not gypsy music. Those are two romanian folk songs. I'm not sure about the first one, but the second is the "Ciocarlia" folk tune, included by George Enescu in the Romanian Rhapsody No.1 for orchestra.

  • To all the patriotic Romanians: It is difficult to find the origin of a melody. Many examples exist where a same popular melody appears in several musical compositions.

  • BRAVO! But yes, this is a gypsy music, a roumanian one.

  • Yes, I think you can call it 'in the style of gypsy music'. But hey, it's a show stopper.

;-) Have never tried that. Gives me ideas.

  • this IS gypsy music ... But not played in gypsy way!its the lark...

  • tov

  • omg, no shoulder rest, no difficulty, it is amazing!

  • Ok.Man change the name-this is really not gypsy music.Romanian popular music called "Ciocarlia"-"Lark",with some improvisation.Explane me -if jew plays improvisation on romanian music, what gypsy is there? You can call it Romanian music played in gypsy style-that will be closer to trueth.

  • fantastic

  • definitely

  • It is certainly both beautiful and enjoyable, which is the main thing.

  • As to whether this music is "Gypsy" or not,or is just "folk", is dependant upon whether it is possible to be a conduit of musical culture, as the Musician Rroma musicians have certainly always been, and not effect that which is transported!Bartok and Kodaly argued such a point as being irrelevant. If they were wrong, and conduits (not pipes) can have an effect,as such is the case with electricity, then the situation requires re-evaluation my dear andreigocan!

  • baroo

  • Anyway didn't the composer call it Gypsy music?

  • You are a Gypsy andregocan. Borat will find you and beat you with his bare hands and a stick after.

  • I am sorry to disappoint you, but this is no gypsy music!!! When will you people understand that folk music is not gypsy music. And what he plays is folk music, with the Romanian tune "Ciocarlia", also used by Enesco in his first Rhapsody for Orchestra. This is no gypsy music!!!

  • The Rroma have always ben conduits of "so called folk music".The question id do conduits, not pipes, effect that which is TRANSPORTED WITHIN THEM.If they do,then this must have an aspect of "Rromaness"!!

  • You are right this is not gypsy music. This is similiar to "Cicarlia" by George Enescu (Enesco).

  • hagaishaham com I meant

  • as always amazing

  • Hey, new of Hagai Shaham! Great!!!
