Replacing it with cyan gives a more even spacing of the colours, which helps the player tell the diamonds apart (though don't you think the orange and yellow ones are too similar?) However, the "Goal up!" letters after each round use the traditional indigo. And the moneybags were 10000 points, not 1000.
Look more closely, for example at 20:37 when he gets the first ones. You can see a little "10000" floating up, and you can see that his score does increase by 10000 with each one.

actually, I was misreading the score at the top. there are no moneybags at 20:37 though.
