and how is it possible that you already reached 6000 ft before u noticed the fire? didnt u get a warning or something? Normally, a failed engine (not to mention engine fire) will be detected by the sensors! I bet you were not even watching the instruments, but after 2 minutes of flight??? And not just the instruments, a failed engine causes loss of airspeed and therefore, its either loss of climb rate, or stall! Those are the only 2 options!

an airport you should turn of the engine so that the fuel dont explode.

I't dippends on how high you are ( around 5000-10000 feets is the best way to shut down the engine and sailfly to the closest airport.)

The 737 QRH (emergency manual) does not mention shutting down second engine unless it fails or also has fire.

Yes you start APU to reduce load on remaining GEN and incase of 2nd engine failure.

not aborting takeoff was good and bad. the good news is that in real life, they couldn't abort takeoff because you were too fast too abort. the bad news is that since it a simulator, the braking was unrealistic because of a short runway i was able to stop very quickly.
